Real Back in Style is the debut studio album by English rapper Potter Payper, released on 12 May 2023 by 0207 Def Jam. It follows Payper's 2021 mixtape, Thanks for Waiting, and his Training Day mixtape trilogy.

Release and promotion

The album was announced on 21 April 2023 through Payper's social media. [5] It was supported by three singles through the first quarter of 2023: "Blame Brexit", "Multifaceted" and "Corner Boy". [2] [3] [4]

According to the review aggregator Metacritic , Real Back in Style received "universal acclaim" based on a weighted average score of 84 out of 100 from 4 critic scores. [8] For The Telegraph , Will Pritchard praised the album's storytelling and realism, describing it as "disarmingly honest music that indicates a newly mature era for UK rap." [10] In a five-star review, Fred Garratt-Stanley of Whynow commented "Real Back in Style presents Potter Payper’s trademark style of impassioned, fiery road rap storytelling in a tighter, more cohesive format than ever before. His narratives are cleverly woven, the instrumentals behind them powerful and expansive." [1] For Rolling Stone , Joe Goggins described Real Back in Style as "an exercise in authenticity", while noting Payper's production nods to 90s hip hop. [9]

<i>Colors</i> (mixtape) 2022 album by YoungBoy Never Broke Again

Colors is the sixteenth solo mixtape by American rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again. It was released through Never Broke Again and Atlantic Records on January 21, 2022. The mixtape features a sole guest appearance from Quando Rondo. The deluxe edition was released on the same day, containing an additional guest appearance from Internet Money. Producer Cheese mixed, mastered, and engineered every track on the standard edition of the mixtape, with Lawrence Rivers also engineering "Gangsta", which features Quando Rondo. Ricardo Miles, known professionally as Rimzee, is a British rapper and songwriter. He is from Clapton, East London. Rimzee gained popularity in 2011 and released his debut mixtape The Upper Clapton Dream in 2012.

"Gangsteritus" is a song by British rappers Potter Payper and Tiggs Da Author. In April 2022, it became his first song to reach the UK Top 40 and was used in British television crime drama Top Boy.

"Rocket Science" is a song by British rapper Clavish featuring British hip hop collective, D-Block Europe. It was released on November 17, 2022, as the fourth single from Clavish's debut mixtape album Rap Game Awful. The song was produced by Kazza and Madz Thomas.

Thanks for Hating is the seventh full-length studio mixtape by British hip hop artist Potter Payper, released through 36 The Label, EGA Records and UMG on February 23, 2024. The mixtape is a follow-up to his debut full-length studio album, Real Back in Style in May 2023. The album features guest appearances from ADMT, Born Trappy, Clavish, Daff, Headie One, Marnz Malone, Nafe Smallz, Slim, KayMuni, KB, Millyz, and Mozzy, alongside production from Aaron Goedluck, Chucks, Harry Beech, Manson Beats, and Scott Supreme, alongside several other producers.
