Reginald Wayne Miller is an American former professional basketball player who played his entire 18-year career in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with the Indiana Pacers. He was known for his precision three-point shooting,especially in pressure situations and most notably against the New York Knicks,for which he earned the nickname "Knick Killer". A five-time All-Star selection,Miller was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012 and named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021.

Reginald Wayne is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver for 14 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Miami Hurricanes,and was selected by the Colts in the first round of the 2001 NFL Draft with the 30th overall pick. A six-time Pro Bowl selection,Wayne was a member of the Colts' Super Bowl XLI. He ranks second in Colts' franchise history to Marvin Harrison in major receiving categories:receptions,receiving yards,targets,and receiving touchdowns. On December 14,2014,Wayne played in both his 209th game and his 142nd win as a member of the Colts,breaking the franchise records set by Peyton Manning.
Todd Darren McNair is an American football coach and former player who was most recently the running backs coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the running backs coach at the University of Southern California from 2004 to 2010,until the NCAA issued a one-year show-cause penalty against him as part of sanctions related to the ineligibility of one of his former players,Reggie Bush. McNair had a long-running lawsuit pending against the NCAA for libel,slander,breach of contract and four other alleged offenses. The lawsuit finally was settled through mediation after ten years.

Stock car racing events in the NASCAR Cup Series events have been held annually at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn,Michigan since 1969. Traditionally,the track held two Cup Series races,one in June,around Father's Day weekend and another in August. The August race was not held in 1973 after track owner Roger Penske replaced the race with a Champ Car event. In 2020,both races were held over a single weekend in August due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021,the June race was dropped from the schedule as part of a realignment,with its place on the schedule being given to Texas Motor Speedway to host the All-Star Race.

The Ireland national rugby union team toured the South Seas in June 2003,playing matches against Australia,Tonga and Samoa. The 1995–96 NBA season was the Pacers' 20th season in the National Basketball Association,and 29th season as a franchise. During the off-season,the Pacers signed free agents Ricky Pierce and Eddie Johnson. The team struggled with a 6–8 start to the season,as Rik Smits missed 19 games with an ankle injury. The Pacers were also involved in a brawl in a 119–95 home loss to the Sacramento Kings on November 10,1995,with a total of 16 players,eight from each team suspended. However,the Pacers posted a 14–2 record in January,held a 31–16 record at the All-Star break,and later on won eight of their final nine games of the season. The team finished second in the Central Division with a 52–30 record,which was the same record as the previous season.
The 1998 Central Michigan Chippewas football team was an American football team that represented Central Michigan University in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) during the 1998 NCAA Division I-A football season. In their fifth season under head coach Dick Flynn,the Chippewas compiled a 6–5 record,finished in third place in the MAC's West Division,and were outscored by their opponents,253 to 229. The team played its home games in Kelly/Shorts Stadium in Mount Pleasant,Michigan,with attendance of 101,814 in five home games.
