The Mexicana Universal is a national beauty pageant in Mexico held annually since 2018, replacing the former pageant, Nuestra Belleza México, held since 1994. Currently, the pageant is responsible for selecting the country's delegates to Miss International, Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss Charm, Nuestra Latinoamericana Universal, and Miss Orb International. The current Mexicana Universal is Melissa Flores of Michoacán, who represented Mexico at Miss Universe 2023 but was unplaced.
Miss International 2005, the 45th Miss International pageant, was held on September 26, 2005 at the Koseinenkin Hall in Tokyo, Japan. 52 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Jeymmy Vargas of Colombia crowned her successor Lara Quigaman of the Philippines as the new Miss International. She became the fourth Filipino to win the pageant.
Miss International 2009, the 49th Miss International pageant, was held on November 28, 2009 at the Sichuan International Tennis Center in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. The pageant was originally scheduled to be held on November 7, 2009 at The Venetian Macao in Macau, but the host committee backed out. 65 contestants competed for the coveted title. Alejandra Andreu of Spain crowned Anagabriela Espinoza of Mexico as the new titleholder.
Reina Hispanoamericana is an annual beauty pageant celebrating Hispanic heritage, language and culture, started in 1991 as Reina Sudamericana, is based in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. Up to 2003 the participants were restricted to the 10 countries in South America; in 2004 participants from Panama and Costa Rica in Central America were invited; and in 2006 participants from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Portugal & Spain joined. In 2007 Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras & United States were added, and the name changed to Reina Hispanoamericana. In 2008, Curaçao and Haiti were added. In 2017, the Philippines, Canada, and Australia were added.
Adriana Cristina Vasini Sánchez, is a Venezuelan model and beauty pageant titleholder who won the titles of Miss World Venezuela 2009 and Reina Hispanoamericana 2009. She represented Venezuela in the Miss World 2010 on October 30, 2010 in Sanya, China and placed 2nd Runner-Up.
Reinado Internacional del Café 2010, was held in Manizales, Colombia, on January 9, 2010. 19 contestants attended the event. The winner was Mariana Notarangelo, from Brazil.
Angenie Anamaria Simon is a Curaçaoan model and beauty pageant titleholder who won the Miss Curaçao 2009 and went to the Miss Universe 2009 in The Bahamas, and the Miss World 2010 in Sanya, People's Republic of China. She earned a place in the national and regional pageant history records by being the first Miss Caraïbes Hibiscus winner who was crowned by a compatriot. Currently she is working as a Financial Assistant and she took in 2011 the challenge in partnering with national social entrepreneur and international youth ambassador Gwendell Mercelina Jr. for the Miss Caraïbes Hibiscus Curaçao pageant.
Reinado Internacional del Café 2015 was held in Manizales, Colombia, on January 10, 2015. At the end of the event, the outgoing queen Priscilla Durand Reina Internacional del Café 2014 from Brazil crowned Yuri Uchida of Japan as his successor.
Miss World 2015, the 65th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 19 December 2015 at the outdoor arena of the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China. 114 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Rolene Strauss of South Africa crowned her successor Mireia Lalaguna of Spain at the end of the event. It was the first time in the history of Miss World that Spain won the pageant.
Reinado Internacional del Café 2016 beauty pageant, was held in Manizales, Colombia, on January 9, 2016. At the end of the event, the outgoing queen Yuri Uchida, Reina Internacional del Café 2015 from Japan crowned Maydeliana Díaz from Venezuela as her successor.
Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 was the 27th edition of the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant. It was held on 4 November 2017 at the Salón Sirionó, Fexpocruz in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. Maria Camilla Soleibe of Colombia crowned Teresita Marquez of the Philippines as her successor at the end of the event. 27 contestants competed for the crown.
Marian Joyce Prado Rivera is a Bolivian model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Bolivia 2018. She represented Bolivia at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant. Prado was stripped of her Miss Santa Cruz and Miss Bolivia crowns for 'breach of contract', when she confirmed she was pregnant in April 2019.
María Belén Alderete Gayoso is a Paraguayan model and beauty pageant titleholder who won the title of Miss Universo Paraguay 2018 at Reinas de Belleza del Paraguay 2018. She represented Paraguay at Miss Universe 2018 pageant in Thailand, and represented Paraguay at Reina Hispanoamericana 2018, held in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, where she finished as the second runner-up.
Miss International 2019, the 59th Miss International pageant, was held on November 12, 2019, at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Bunkyo district Tokyo, Japan. Mariem Velazco of Venezuela crowned her successor Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand at the end of the event.
Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 was the 29th edition of the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant. It was held on February 8, 2020, in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. Nariman Battikha of Venezuela crowned Regina Peredo of México as her successor at the end of the event. This was Mexico’s first victory in 11 years and second overall.
Nariman Cristina Battikha Yanyi is a Venezuelan model, economist and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned as Reina Hispanoamericana 2018. In addition, she also represented Portuguesa state in Miss Venezuela 2017, where she finished as one of the semifinalists.
Reina Hispanoamericana 2021 was the 30th edition of the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant. It was held on October 30, 2021 in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Regina Peredo of Mexico crowned Andrea Bazarte of Mexico as her successor at the end of the event. This marked Mexico’s first back-to-back victory in the pageant and third overall victory.
Reina Hispanoamericana 2022 was the 31st edition of Reina Hispanoamericana pageant. It was held on March 25, 2023 in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Andrea Bazarte of Mexico crowned Arlette Rujel of Peru as her successor at the end of the event.
Miss International 2023 was the 61st Miss International pageant, held at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan on 26 October 2023. Jasmin Selberg of Germany crowned Andrea Rubio of Venezuela as her successor at the end of the event, marking the ninth time that Venezuela won the competition - the most wins in the pageant's history.
