The Pulwama district is a district in the Indian Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is located towards south of Srinagar. The district headquarters of Pulwama district are located in Pulwama city.
Awantipora or Avantipur or Aavantipur, known as Woontpor in Kashmiri, is a town on the banks of the River Jehlum in the Pulwama district of the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
