China, as the Republic of China , attended the Summer Olympic Games for the first time at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. Far Eastern Games Chinese Competition Committee sent 4 tennis players, Khoo Hooi-Hye, Ng Sze-Kwang, Wei Wing-Lock, and Wu Sze-Cheung to sign up for the tennis competition, with Wei Wing-Lock being the team's captain. The delegation even attended the opening ceremony, but later withdrew from the tennis competition. Nevertheless, this is the first appearance of Chinese people at an Olympic venue. [1] [2] [3]

Tommy Chuck Yiu Kwok is a former Hong Kong professional football player who played as a forward.

Hung Shih-han is a Taiwanese badminton player who competed at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. In 2008, she won the Hellas International Series tournament in the women's singles event after beat Dimitria Popstoikova of Bulgaria. In 2014, she also won the Vietnam International Challenge tournament.

The 2022 Hong Kong Chief Executive election is scheduled in March 2022 for the 6th term of the Chief Executive of Hong Kong (CE), the highest office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). Incumbent Carrie Lam, who was elected in 2017, will finish her current term on 30 June 2022 and will be eligible for a second term. Ho Cheng Yau (1933–2016) was a Hong Kong former professional footballer. He represented Hong Kong in 1950s to 1960s. Ho represented Hong Kong in 1954 and 1958 Asian Games.

Joseph Hsu King-shing also transliterated as Hsu King-Seng was a Chinese professional footballer and football manager. Born in Shanghai, Hsu moved to Hong Kong to continue his professional career and never returned to the mainland China to play nor coach. He coached both Hong Kong and Republic of China (Taiwan), as well as managed Singtao for more than a decade.

Dato Aw Cheng ChyeS.P.M.J., B.B.M., O.St.J was a Singaporean millionaire and son of the late Aw Boon Par. Aw Cheng Chye himself was the chairman of Haw Par Brothers (Private) Limited and Haw Par Brothers International Limited until his sudden death on 22 August 1971 in Santiago de Chile.

North–South divide in Taiwan

In Taiwan, the North–South divide (重北輕南) refers to the uneven distribution of resources in regard to political, wealth, medical, economic development, education and other aspects across the country over past decades that has drawn the social and cultural differences between northern and southern today. The core spiritual tenet is derived from Southern Taiwanese's long-standing mindset, as they believe they had been treated and regarded as socially inferior by the Taiwanese central government. The anger from the south quickly echoed throughout central Taiwan and eastern Taiwan, as they also thought they're not fairly treated by the central government, compared to the northern part of Taiwan. It was known from history that the Taiwanese central government's policy support for local industrial development as well as public infrastructure is the critical determinant of a local city's future prospects for the resident population.

Law Kwok-tai, is a football coach and a former Republic of China (Taiwan) international footballer, but born and spent his entire playing and coaching career in the British Hong Kong, a colony that geographically located in the southern China. Law retired as a professional footballer in 1976, aged 47. That season he was a player-manager. He coached until the 1990s, at aged 60s. At international level he played for Republic of China (Taiwan) in the Olympics as well as Asian Games and AFC Asian Cup. He also played for Hong Kong League XI in non-official match in Merdeka Tournament, as well as "Hong Kong Chinese" team in another friendly tournament, Ho Ho Cup.

The 2018-19 season is Lee Man's second consecutive season in Hong Kong Premier League.

Cosmos People is a Taiwanese band formed in 2004. The members are all graduates of Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School. Their music often uses elements of funk and dance-pop.

Fujianese organized crime refers to crime syndicates, similar to triad gangs, composed of Fujianese people; the term primarily refers to Fujianese immigrant gangs in Hong Kong. Tat Cheng Hong Kong politician

Cheng Tat-hung is a Hong Kong politician, formerly affiliated with the Civic Party. He is a member of the Eastern District Council for Tanner since 2016.
