The 2023 Uprising was the eleventh Uprising professional wrestling supershow promoted by the British Revolution Pro Wrestling (RPW), in partnership with the Japanese New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) promotion as well as Mexican promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). The event was held on December 16, 2023, in the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in Crystal Palace, London, England.

Storylines

The event featured nine professional wrestling matches that involve different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Wrestlers portray heroes, villains, or less distinguishable characters in scripted events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches. Storylines are produced on RevPro's weekly tour-based shows.[ citation needed ]

    Frontier Wrestling Alliance (FWA) was a professional wrestling promotion in Britain. Established in 1993 as the Fratton Wrestling Association it soon became the Frontier Wrestling Alliance six years later and until 2007 when it lost a scripted inter-promotional feud with International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom.     Fantastica Mania, sometimes spelled as Fantasticamania, is a series of annual professional wrestling shows co-promoted by Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and Japanese New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), with Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro) also co-promoting Fantastica Mania shows in the UK with CMLL. Fantastica Mania is a series of two to seven shows that have taken place in Japan, in January/February of each year since 2011. Since its inception in 2011, 74 Fantastica Mania shows have taken place.

The title was created and debuted on 6 December 2008. The current champion is Neón, who is in his first reign. He defeated Jordan Breaks at Fantastica Mania: UK on May 19, 2024 in London, England.

    The Undisputed British Women's Championship is a women's professional wrestling championship owned by the Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro/RPW) promotion. The title was created and debuted on 7 January 2018 as British Women's Championship. There have been a total of 8 reigns shared between six different champions. The current champion is Dani Luna who is in her first reign.

    Miyu Yamashita is a Japanese professional wrestler signed to Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling. Yamashita was trained by DDT Pro Wrestling's Kyohei Mikami, and made her debut in August 2013 as one of the first members of DDT's all female Tokyo Joshi Pro sister promotion.

    New Year Dash!! is a professional wrestling event held annually by New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). It is held every year the day after Wrestle Kingdom, the biggest show of the year for New Japan, starting at Wrestle Kingdom 8 in 2014. There have been eight events under the name held so far, with the traditional January 5 date. In 2020 and 2021, with Wrestle Kingdom a two-night event, New Year Dash!! was held on January 6. The event was not held in 2022. After it was confirmed that Wrestle Kingdom would return to a one-day event for 2023, the event returned to its original January 5 date.
