Reworld Media is a French Media conglomerate created in 2012 by Pascal Chevalier. The group became in 2019 the first group for the number of press titles. [2]
The way the group operates is criticized by many journalists, who consider that the activity of the group is more akin to advertisement to journalism. [2] In many cases after the acquisitions, many of the journalists in the acquired titles have resigned en-masse because of this behavior shortly after the acquisition. [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]

Mais alors que Reworld se présente souvent comme un modèle d'innovation, ses coulisses ressemblent surtout à un cauchemar où rédacteurs délocalisés, robots et "autoentrepreneurs" exploités produisent à la chaîne de la "junk news", emballée dans un sabir de start-up nation.
Les méthodes de Reworld visant à rentabiliser au plus vite des sites acquis au rabais ont été critiquées dans le milieu des médias, avec notamment la multiplication des publicités dans les contenus et la mauvaise gestion du personnel poussé à la démission ou en burn-out. La rédaction de Sciences et Vie avait également démissionné collectivement en mars 2021, un an et demi après le rachat du magazine.
Les journalistes du site spécialisé dans les jeux vidéos ont annoncé, jeudi 17 novembre 2022, leurs départs en raison d'un contexte économique et médiatique toujours plus hostile pour l'indépendance de la presse. Leur média a été vendu par TF1, en juin, à Reworld, largement critiqué pour ses méthodes de réduction des coûts et de gestion du personnel.
Passé des mains de TF1 à celles de Reworld Media, le deuxième site d'information français sur le jeu vidéo va se vider de ses journalistes. Ceux-ci déplorent le contexte économique et médiatique toujours plus hostile pour l'indépendance de la presse jeu vidéo.
Créé en 2012, Reworld Media a fondé sa stratégie sur l'acquisition de nombreux titres de presse magazine – il possède par exemple déjà Grazia, Maison & travaux ou Autoplus – et la réduction des coûts de production, parfois en profitant du départ des journalistes pour réduire le nombre de postes.
Cette reconversion éclair, c'est à lui que les anciens salariés de Reworld Media (le groupe qui avait racheté Science & Vie, en même temps que les autres titres du groupe Mondadori, à l'été 2019) la doivent en partie. L'ancien rédacteur en chef du magazine avait été le premier à le quitter, fin septembre 2020, lorsqu'il avait constaté qu'il ne pourrait plus garantir la qualité éditoriale du titre et de son site Internet.
