Richard Anthony Hutton (born 6 September 1942) [1] is a former English cricketer,who played in five Test matches for the England cricket team in 1971. A right-handed batsman and right-arm seam bowler,Hutton's bowling was probably his stronger discipline,but he was considered an all-rounder. He played first-class cricket for Yorkshire County Cricket Club. [1] He is the son of cricketer Len Hutton,described by Wisden Cricketers' Almanack as "one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket."
He was educated at Repton School,where he developed a reputation as an all-round cricketer,and Christ's College,Cambridge,being awarded a blue at Cambridge. He played for Yorkshire from 1962 until 1974,and for Transvaal in South Africa.
Hutton made his Test debut in a drawn match against Pakistan in 1971,being promoted to open in the second innings and scoring 58 not out in his maiden Test innings. His highest Test score of 81 came in his last Test match,at The Oval against India. He shared a century partnership for the seventh wicket with the wicket-keeper Alan Knott,after the Indian spinners did some early damage. A surprise choice for the World XI tour of Australia in 1971–72,he struggled playing alongside the biggest names in international cricket.
In 1980–81,he toured Bangladesh with the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) team. Hutton had a spell as editor of The Cricketer magazine. [1]
His father,Sir Leonard Hutton,captained England,while his elder son,Ben Hutton,captained Middlesex in 2005 and 2006. His brother,John,also appeared in first-class cricket.

Hedley Verity was a professional cricketer who played for Yorkshire and England between 1930 and 1939. A slow left-arm orthodox bowler,he took 1,956 wickets in first-class cricket at an average of 14.90 and 144 wickets in 40 Tests at an average of 24.37.
Martin Bladen Hawke,7th Baron Hawke,generally known as Lord Hawke,was an English amateur cricketer active from 1881 to 1911 who played for Yorkshire and England. He was born in Willingham by Stow,near Gainsborough,Lincolnshire,and died in Edinburgh. He appeared in 633 first-class matches,including five Test matches,as a righthanded batsman,scoring 16,749 runs with a highest score of 166 and held 209 catches. He scored 13 centuries and 69 half-centuries.
Norman Walter Dransfield Yardley was an English cricketer who played for Cambridge University,Yorkshire County Cricket Club and England,as a right-handed batsman and occasional bowler. An amateur,he captained Yorkshire from 1948 to 1955 and England on fourteen occasions between 1947 and 1950,winning four Tests,losing seven and drawing three. Yardley was named Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1948 and in his obituary in Wisden Cricketers' Almanack,he was described as Yorkshire's finest amateur since Stanley Jackson.

Herbert Sutcliffe was an English professional cricketer who represented Yorkshire and England as an opening batsman. He was the first cricketer to score 16 centuries in Test match cricket. He is most famous for being the partner of Jack Hobbs and the partnership between the two,Hobbs and Sutcliffe,is widely regarded as the greatest partnership of all time.
George Herbert Hirst was a professional English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Yorkshire County Cricket Club between 1891 and 1921,with a further appearance in 1929. One of the best all-rounders of his time,Hirst was a left arm medium-fast bowler and right-handed batsman. He played in 24 Test matches for England between 1897 and 1909,touring Australia twice. He completed the double of 1,000 runs and 100 wickets in an English cricket season 14 times,the second most of any cricketer after his contemporary and team-mate Wilfred Rhodes. One of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year for 1901,Hirst scored 36,356 runs and took 2,742 wickets in first-class cricket. In Tests,he made 790 runs and captured 59 wickets.
Thomas Walter Hayward was an English first-class cricketer who played for Surrey and England between the 1890s and the outbreak of World War I. He was primarily an opening batsman,noted especially for the quality of his off-drive. Neville Cardus wrote that he "was amongst the most precisely technical and most prolific batsmen of any time in the annals of cricket." He was only the second batsman to reach the landmark of 100 first-class centuries,following WG Grace. In the 1906 English season he scored 3,518 runs,a record aggregate since surpassed only by Denis Compton and Bill Edrich in 1947.
Roy Kilner was an English professional cricketer who played nine Test matches for England between 1924 and 1926. An all-rounder,he played for Yorkshire County Cricket Club between 1911 and 1927. In all first-class matches,he scored 14,707 runs at an average of 30.01 and took 1,003 wickets at an average of 18.45. Kilner scored 1,000 runs in a season ten times and took 100 wickets in a season five times. On four occasions,he completed the double:scoring 1,000 runs and taking 100 wickets in the same season,recognised as a sign of a quality all-rounder.
James Cullum Tredwell is an English former international cricketer. A left-handed batsman and a right-arm off break bowler,he played his domestic cricket for Kent County Cricket Club and was appointed as County Captain for the 2013 season. He made his debut for Kent in the 2001 season,nine days before his first appearance for England Under-19s. He often fielded at slip. Tredwell was a member of the England team that won the 2010 ICC World Twenty20.

The Indian cricket team toured England in the 1932 season under the title of "All-India". They were captained by the Maharaja of Porbandar. It was the national team's second tour of England following the one in 1911. India had just been granted the status of ICC Full Member and they played their inaugural Test match at Lord's in June. Jacob Timothy Ball is an English cricketer. Ball is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm fast-medium pace. He was born in Mansfield,Nottinghamshire,England and educated at the Meden School in Market Warsop. On 14 July 2016 he made his Test debut for England against Pakistan. His uncle,Bruce French,also played Test cricket for England and was chosen to present Ball with his England cap before his Test debut in July 2016.
