"I'm Afraid of Americans" is a song by English singer-songwriter David Bowie, released as a single from his 1997 album Earthling. The song, co-written by Bowie and Brian Eno, was originally written during Bowie's studio sessions for the 1995 album Outside but was not released until a rough mix appeared on the soundtrack to the film Showgirls, and was subsequently remade for Earthling. A top 20 hit in Canada, the rework also peaked at number 66 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent 16 weeks on that chart. This was the final Bowie single which charted on the Hot 100 until "Blackstar" and "Lazarus" following his death.
"Ich will" is a song by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein from their third studio album Mutter. It was originally released in Germany on 10 September 2001, but many channels did not air the music video as it was released the day before the September 11 attacks. The German single contains a live cover of the Ramones song "Pet Sematary" sung by Rammstein keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz.
"Stripped" is a song by British electronic music band Depeche Mode. It was released as the lead single from their fifth studio album, Black Celebration (1986), on 10 February 1986, through Mute Records. Written by the band's lead songwriter Martin Gore, "Stripped" has been described as an "ominous and intriguing pop song". It incorporates different samples into its instrumental; most notably, the sound of an idling motorcycle engine was taken, altered slightly, then used as a percussive element.

American Made Music to Strip By is the first remix album released by American musician Rob Zombie. The album was released through Geffen Records on October 26, 1999. It is composed entirely of remixes of songs taken from Zombie's debut studio album, Hellbilly Deluxe (1998). Zombie worked with a number of musicians and producers to create updated versions of the songs, including Charlie Clouser, who had previously worked with Zombie on his debut solo effort. Ten of the original album's songs have been remixed, excluding three instrumental interludes. Two of the remixes featured on American Made Music to Strip By had previously been released on promotional discs for "Dragula" (1998) and "Living Dead Girl" (1999).

The live part was recorded at three concerts during the Lauschgift-tour with their then backing band disjam, at Huxleys Neue Welt in Berlin on February 19, 1996; at the Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen on February 22, 1996 and during the Bear Music Days in Die Fantastischen Vier's hometown Stuttgart, the Theaterhaus Wangen on June 1, 1996.
Tie Your Mix Down: A Queen Tribute is a Queen tribute album. It features various covers of Queen songs by various artists. Despite the album's name, these songs are not remixes of original Queen material, but are cover versions performed by the artists themselves. The covers are very techno and electronica influenced, and because of this the album is unpopular among the band's fans.

It is the band's eighth overall single in their discography. The track was released as a free download on the band's official website on February 5, 2011. Cyanotic is a Chicago-based industrial rock collective fronted by Sean Payne that formed in 2002 and released its first full-length album in 2005. Cyanotic is known for its genre-blending work, which fuses traditional industrial beats and vocals with drum n bass, sampling and heavy metal to create a hard, aggressive sound. The band's lyrics contain many tongue-in-cheek references to transhumanism.

The Remix Wars: Strike 2 is remix album of Canadian industrial band Front Line Assembly and German industrial band Die Krupps, released in 1996. It is subtitled "Front Line Assembly vs. Die Krupps". It is the second in a series of four remix albums on which two bands remix each other's tracks. The liner notes of the album describes the concept: "Two different groups or projects fight each other using samplers, mixing consoles and creativity as their weapons." The first three tracks are from III - Odyssey of the Mind, the other tracks are from Hard Wired. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the launch of the remix series in 2016 Canadian label Artoffact re-released the albums on vinyl.
The Danish rock band Nephew has released six studio albums, three live albums, nine EPs, one compilation album, one box set, and nineteen singles. The band was formed in 1996 by Simon Kvamm, Kristian Riis, Jonas Juul Jeppesen, and Søren Arnholt. In 1998, Jeppesen, who was until then the bassist in the band, left the band and was replaced by the current bassist Kasper Toustrup. That year, they proceeded to release two demo albums, Tunes and Things to Do; the demo Downtown Europe was released in 1999. In 2000, the band debuted with Swimming Time, on the small label Martian Records. The album was received well by both critics and fans, but despite the band's success, the members got bored and decided to take a break. During their 2001 farewell concert in Germany, the band rediscovered their passion for music and decided to stay together. After being signed to Copenhagen Records, the band released their second studio album USADSB in 2004, which was very well received and is seen as their "breakthrough" album. It gained double platinum status in Denmark, and aside from there has been released in Japan, Germany, and Norway. Later in 2004, the En Wannabe Darth Wader single release came to be, which contains both the Danish and English versions of Nephew's song "En Wannabe Darth Vader".
