Riva Ganguly Das (born 24 December 1961 [7] ) is a retired Indian civil servant who belongs to the Indian Foreign Service cadre. She is the former High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh and former Director General of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations,an autonomous organisation of the Government of India.
Riva Ganguly Das spent her childhood in New Delhi. She obtained a postgraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Delhi in 1984. She later taught Political Science at the University of Delhi. She married in 1988 and has two children:a daughter and a son.[ citation needed ]
She joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1986. [7] Her first posting abroad was in Spain, [1] where she learnt Spanish at Madrid.[ citation needed ] Thereafter,she worked at the Ministry of External Affairs,Government of India in New Delhi handling External Publicity,Nepal and the Passport &Visa matters. [1] She also headed the Cultural Wing of the Indian High Commission in Dhaka. [1] Subsequently,she served as the Director of the United Nations Economic and Social Affairs (UNES) Division at the Ministry of External Affairs,Government of India in New Delhi. [8] In this capacity,she was a part of negotiations relating to environmental issues,particularly climate change. [1]
Riva Ganguly Das was the Deputy chief of mission at the Indian Embassy in The Hague and the Alternate Permanent Representative of India to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons,The Hague. [8] She also functioned as the Regional Passport Officer in Jaipur.[ citation needed ] From 2008 to 2012,she was the Consul General of India in Shanghai. [8]
Later,she was the Head of the Public Diplomacy Division at the Ministry of External Affairs,Government of India,New Delhi. [9] [8] She also headed the Latin America &Caribbean Division at the Ministry of External Affairs,Government of India,New Delhi. [8] [10] In March 2015,Riva Ganguly Das was appointed the Indian Ambassador to Romania. [11] In October 2015,she was concurrently accredited as the Indian Ambassador to Albania and Moldova,with residence in Bucharest (Romania). [4] From March 2016 to July 2017,she served as the Consul General of India in New York. [12]
In March 2019,she was appointed as the High commissioners of India to Bangladesh. [13] In August 2020,She was appointed as the Secretary (East) of MEA and served their till December 2021. [14] [15]

T. S. Tirumurti is a retired Indian civil servant (Ambassador) of the Indian Foreign Service cadre. His diplomatic career spanned 37 years (1985-2022). He served as the Secretary to Government of India and later as Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations in New York when India became a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 8th time. The 2022 North Indian Ocean cyclone season was an event in the annual cycle of tropical cyclone formation. It was an above-average season in terms of depressions and average in terms of deep depressions,but slightly below average in terms of cyclonic storms. It was also the least deadly North Indian Ocean cyclone season since 1988,according to official data. The season's strongest tropical cyclone was Cyclone Asani,with maximum wind speeds of 100 km/h and a minimum barometric pressure of 982 hPa. The North Indian Ocean cyclone season has no official bounds,but cyclones tend to form between April and December,with the peak from May to November. These dates conventionally delimit the period of each year when most tropical cyclones form in the northern Indian Ocean.
Hanna Vasylivna Maliar is a Ukrainian lawyer and educator who served as one of the several Deputy Ministers of Defense under Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal from 4 August 2021 until 18 September 2023.
