Road Rules: USA – The First Adventure is the inaugural season of the MTV reality television series Road Rules . The show featured five young people traveling the country, completing various tasks to get their next clue to their next mission.

After filming

In 2015, Kit Hoover and Mark Long reunited on Access Hollywood for the 20 years anniversary of the series. [1]

In 2020, Mark Long started asking his followers if they'd be interested in seeing former cast members of The Challenge coming together for a new version of the series. After his idea went viral, he announced a partnership with Bunim/Murray Productions to further develop his project. [2] The Challenge: All Stars eventually premiered on Paramount+ on April 1, 2021. [3] The series was renewed for a second season, which premiered on November 11, 2021. [4] Long also partnered up with Objective Media Group to develop a cooking competition series. [5] In 2022, he competed on the 24th season of Worst Cooks in America . [6]

The Real World is an American reality television series produced through MTV and Bunim/Murray Productions that most recently aired on Facebook Watch after airing on MTV from 1992 to 2017. It was originally produced by Mary-Ellis Bunim and Jonathan Murray. First broadcast in 1992, the show was inspired by the 1973 PBS documentary series An American Family. Bunim/Murray Productions is an American entertainment production company based out of Glendale, California and owned by French television media conglomerate Banijay Entertainment since 25 March 2010. Considered as a pioneer in the reality television genre with local hit programs like The Real World, Road Rules and Bad Girls Club, it was founded in 1987 by Mary-Ellis Bunim and Jonathan Murray after an agent named Mark Itkin of the William Morris Agency put the two together to develop a scripted soap opera for MTV. When that was too expensive, they decided to try an unscripted soap and The Real World was born. "We knew within 20 minutes of shooting that we had a show," Bunim said. The company has expanded into music management, managing the pop punk/emo band A Cursive Memory.

<i>The Challenge</i> (TV series) Reality competition show

The Challenge is a reality competition show on MTV that is a spin-off of two of the network's reality shows, The Real World and Road Rules. Premiering in 1998, it originally featured alumni from these two shows. Casting for The Challenge has slowly expanded to include contestants who debuted on The Challenge itself, alumni from other MTV franchises including Are You the One?, Ex on the Beach, Geordie Shore, siblings and friends, and from other non-MTV shows and competitions. Starting in 2018, new contestants were chosen outside of MTV network alumni from different networks like CBS and Bravo. The contestants compete against one another in various extreme challenges to avoid elimination. The winners of the final challenge win the competition and typically share a large cash prize. The Challenge is currently hosted by T. J. Lavin.

Road Rules: X-Treme is the thirteenth season of the MTV reality television series Road Rules, which takes a group of young people and places them on a series of quests and challenges to compete for prizes. X-Treme took place in South America, in Argentina and Chile. It was the first and only Road Rules season to have a dog to be credited as part of the cast.
