Robert Dunning (born 23 June 1997) is an American hurdler. He was the 2021 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships winner in the 110 metres hurdles.

Biography

Dunning grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, where he attended Kennesaw Mountain High School and won Class 6A state titles in the 300 metres hurdles and high jump. [4]

After high school graduation, Dunning competed on the South Plains College Texans track and field team, an NJCAA school. After winning NJCAA titles in the 110 metres hurdles and high jump, he transferred to the Alabama Crimson Tide track and field team. [4]

His NCAA career was highlighted by his 2021 season, when he went undefeated in all 110 m hurdles races including a win at the 2021 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships. [4] His performance was the first track and field title for Alabama men since 2014. [5] His time of 13.25 seconds was also the fastest performance into a headwind in NCAA championship history. In 2023, Dunning set his personal best of 13.09 seconds in the 110 m hurdles competing at the inaugural Adidas Atlanta City Games. [8]

Both performances were achieved during the 2011 NCAA Division I Championships in Des Moines, Iowa where he completed the 100 m - long jump double gold. The 1948 NCAA Track and Field Championships were held in Minneapolis, Minnesota in June 1948. The University of Minnesota won the team title. Two NCAA meet records were broken, and one American record was tied, at the event. Fortune Gordien was the high point scorer for Minnesota as he won the discus thrown and finished second in the shot put, accounting for 18 of Minnesota's points.

He was the 2003 NCAA champion in the event and won four hurdles titles in the Pacific-10 Conference. He was the bronze medalist at the 2008 IAAF World Athletics Final and was the runner-up at the 2010 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. His personal best time of 13.02 seconds, set in 2007 at the Reebok Grand Prix, ranks him within the top twenty fastest of all time in the event.

In the 60 meters hurdles, Holloway is the 2022 Belgrade and 2024 Glasgow World Indoor champion and the world indoor record holder with a time of 7.27 seconds set at the 2024 USA Track & Field Indoor Championships.

William Williams is an American long jumper. After a successful collegiate career at Texas A&M winning the 2018 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships, he went on to win the 2022 NACAC Championships and qualify for two World Athletics Championships competitions, with a best finish of 8th at the 2023 world championships.
