The Vesper Boat Club is an amateur rowing club located at #10 Boathouse Row in the historic Boathouse Row of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1865 as the Washington Barge Club, the club's name was changed to Vesper Boat Club in 1870.
Martin Sinković is a Croatian rower. He is the younger brother of fellow rower Valent Sinković, with whom he has won three Olympic gold medals. The brothers won gold in double sculls at the 2016 Summer Olympics, the coxless pairs at the 2020 Summer Olympics and the coxless pairs at the 2024 Summer Olympics. He won the silver medal in the quadruple sculls at the 2012 Summer Olympics with his brother, David Šain and Damir Martin. Sinković is a six-time world champion, twice in quadruple sculls, double sculls and coxless pairs each.

Jochen Kühner is a German rower. At the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the men's lightweight four. He has also been world champion in this event, along with his brother Martin Kühner, Jost Schömann-Finck, and Matthias Schömann-Finck. He has also been world champion in the men's lightweight eight, and runner up in the men's lightweight pair, again with his brother.
Joshua Dunkley-Smith is an Australian former representative rower. He was a national champion, a dual Olympian, two-time silver Olympic medal winner, and won medals at five World Rowing Championships.
Pietro Willy Ruta is an Italian rower. He competed in the men's lightweight double sculls with Elia Luini at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and in the men's lightweight coxless four at the 2016 Summer Olympics, finishing in 4th.
Peter Chambers is a British rower, and is the brother of fellow rower Richard Chambers. He is a World Champion in the men's lightweight double sculls and an Olympic silver medalist in the men's lightweight coxless four.
George Christopher Nash is a British rower. He is dual Olympian, dual Olympic medal winner and three time world champion.
Jacob Jepsen Barsøe is a Danish rower who won a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics and bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics, both in the men's lightweight sculls.
John Smith is a South African rower. He won a gold medal in the Men's lightweight coxless four event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, with teammates James Thompson, Matthew Brittain, and Sizwe Ndlovu. In 2014, he won the men's lightweight double sculls with Thompson at the World Championships, setting a world's best time. The pair also competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Lucas Tramèr is a Swiss rower. He won gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the men's lightweight four, with Simon Schürch, Simon Niepmann and Mario Gyr. The team was coached by New Zealander Ian Wright. Tramèr has also won a number of gold medals at the World Rowing Championships. He also competed in the Men's lightweight coxless four event at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Mario Gyr is a Swiss rower. He won gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the men's lightweight four with Lucas Tramèr, Simon Schürch and Simon Niepmann. The same team, coached by New Zealander Ian Wright, also won this event in the 2015 World Championships. He also competed in the men's lightweight coxless four event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, finishing fifth.
Martino Goretti is an Italian representative lightweight rower, a current (2019) world champion and a dual Olympian. He has represented at senior World Rowing Championships and World Rowing Cups consistently from 2005 to 2019. He is a four time world champion at the senior level who won three titles in Italian lightweight eights from 2005 to 2009 and then in 2019 won the lightweight single scull world title. He had previously won underage world championships as a junior and an U23.
Samuel Beltz is an Australian former lightweight rower. He is a 16-time national champion, a world champion and dual Olympian. He competed at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics and represented Australia at the premier world class regattas over a fifteen-year period from 1999 to 2014.
Todd Skipworth is an Australian former lightweight rower and triathlete. He was a nine-time national champion rower, a world champion and dual Olympian. His 2011 rowing world championship was won in the men's lightweight coxless four and he competed in that boat class at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.
Thomas Baroukh is a French rower. He competed in the Men's lightweight coxless four event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, finishing in 7th. At the 2016 Olympics, he was part of the French lightweight coxless four that won the bronze medal. The same team, consisting of Baroukh, Franck Solforosi, Guillaume Raineau and Thibault Colard, also won the bronze medal at the 2015 World Rowing Championships and bronze at the 2015 European Rowing Championships. Baroukh's previous team, which included Solforosi, Raineau and Augustin Mouterde won the bronze at the 2013 and 2014 European Championships. Baroukh and Mouterde won the silver medal in the men's lightweight pair at the 2014 World Rowing Championships.
The rowing competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo took place between 23 and 30 July 2021 at the Sea Forest Waterway in Tokyo Bay. Fourteen medal events were contested by 526 athletes.
Kristine O'Brien is an American rower. In 2015 O'Brien, Adrienne Martelli, Grace Latz and Grace Luczak took the gold medal in the coxless four at the 2015 World Rowing Championships.
The United States National Women’s Rowing Team is a select group of elite female athletes who represent the United States in international rowing competitions. The team first competed at the Olympics in 1976 and has had a multitude of successes. The implementation of Title IX during the 1970s had a large and positive impact on women’s collegiate rowing, and allowed for a growth in interest and talent in order for the creation of the national team. The team is selected through a competitive, in-depth process that is facilitated by USRowing each year. Tom Terhaar served as the national women’s head coach from 2001 until fall of 2021, and was a large part of the team's success in the past decade. The team’s eight (8+) won the gold medal at every summer Olympics between 2004 and 2016, finishing fourth at the 2021 Olympics. The US women's crew won every World Rowing Championships from 2005 through 2016.
