Rohri Taluka (Urdu : تحصِيل روہڑی), is an administrative subdivision (taluka) of Sukkur District in the Sindh province of Pakistan, the town of Rohri is the capital. [1]

Sukkur district, , is a district in Sindh Province in Pakistan. It is divided into 5 administrative strata (tehsils), namely; Sukkur City, New Sukur, Rohri, Saleh Pat and Pano Aqil. Among them Sukkur city and new Sukkur are urban centre while Pano Aqil is famous for having one of largest military cantonment of the country. Rohri is the smallest tehsil of the Sukkur district, both in area and population but it has an important railway junction. Two districts have been split off from the territory of Sukkur: Shikarpur in 1977 and Ghotki in 1993.

It is a major railway station on the Pakistan Railways network, serving as the junction between the Karachi–Peshawar Railway Line and Rohri-Chaman Railway Line. The station serves as a stop of all express trains. The station is staffed and has advance and current reservation offices. Food stalls are also located on its platforms.

The line begins from Karachi City station or Kiamari station and ends at Peshawar Cantonment Station. The total length of this railway line is 1,687 kilometers (1,048 mi). There are 184 railway stations from Kiamari to Peshawar Cantonment on this line. The line serves as the main passenger and freight line of the country. 75% of the country’s cargo and passenger traffic uses the line. The line is currently undergoing an six-year ₨886.68 billion (US$8.4 billion) upgrade and renovation as part of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, with average rail speeds expected be doubled to 160 kilometers per hour upon completion.
Rohri–Chaman Railway Line is one of four main railway lines in Pakistan, operated and maintained by Pakistan Railways. The line begins from Rohri Junction station and ends at Chaman station. The total length of this railway line is 523 kilometers (325 mi). There are 35 railway stations from Rohri Junction to Chaman on this line and is famous for passing through the historic Bolan pass. This line incorporates part of the historic Sind–Pishin State Railway.
