Romantic Getaway is a British comedy television series made for Sky Television and starring Katherine Ryan and Romesh Ranganathan, consisting of six half hour episodes and broadcast from 1 January 2023.

Synopsis

A couple who are struggling to conceive decide to fund more IVF treatment through illegal means. However, things escalate out of their control when they steal half a million pounds. [1]

Production

The project was co-written and co-produced by Ranganathan through his own production company Ranga Bee. [2] The project was announced in March 2022 with Shaun Wilson directing and Caroline Norris producing with Jon Montague executive producing for Sky Studios. [3] Some filming took place in the summer of 2022 in Jersey, [4] and St Albans. [5]

Broadcast

Romantic Getaway airs in the UK on the Sky Comedy channel and is available on Now on 1 January 2023. Also airs in the MENA on the OSN tv Comedy channel [6]

The Ranganation is a British comedy show hosted by Romesh Ranganathan and broadcast on BBC Two. Ranganathan joins a group of 25 members of the public, including his mother, to discuss news events of the week. Two celebrity guests are also featured. The first series of six 45-minute episodes premiered on 19 May 2019. The second series of six episodes was filmed remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic and first aired on 10 May 2020.

Rob and Romesh Vs… is a British light entertainment comedy television series made for Sky Television in which comedians Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan meet people from the worlds of sport and entertainment. The show was first broadcast on Sky One in January 2019 following a one-off special in April 2017 titled Anthony Joshua vs Rob & Romesh in which pair met the heavyweight boxer ahead of his world title fight with Wladimir Klitschko. Guests have included the England national football team, Andy Murray, and Usain Bolt. The Guardian described the show as “comedic guinea pigs Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan continue to try their hands at learning new skills, coached by professionals”.

Avoidance is a British comedy drama television series made for BBC One starring Romesh Ranganathan, Lisa McGrillis, Mandeep Dhillon, Jessica Knappett and Kieran Logendra. The first series was broadcast in 10 June 2022. A second series was commissioned in May 2023; which broadcast from 5 April 2024.
