Roy Harrison MBE (born 30 August 1939) [1] is an Irish former cricketer. A right-handed batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler, [1] he played three times for the Ireland cricket team between 1967 and 1968 [2] including one first-class match. [3]
Harrison made his debut for Ireland against Worcestershire in Dublin in June 1967. It was very much an inauspicious debut,as he was dismissed for a duck in both innings. He returned to the Irish side in August the following year,scoring 43 against the Combined Services,his highest score for Ireland. He then played his final match for Ireland against Scotland, [2] which was his only first-class match. [3]
In his three matches for Ireland,he scored 59 runs at an average of 11.80. [2]
Harrison has served as president of the Irish Cricket Union since 2006. [4]
He was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2016 New Year Honours for voluntary service to cricket in Northern Ireland. [5]
Harrison came from a cricketing family. Three of his brothers,Deryck,Garfield and Jim,all played for Ireland,as did his brother-in-law Eddie Bushe and his nephew Jonathan Bushe. [1]

A right-handed batsman and off spin bowler,he has played more times for the Ireland cricket team than any other player,more than 40 caps ahead of the next player in the table,the retired Peter Gillespie. Only three players have captained Ireland more times than McCallan,and only Jason Molins has captained them to more wins. He has also played second XI cricket for Derbyshire and Surrey.
Robert James Hamilton Lambert was an Irish cricketer. A right-handed batsman and a right-arm off spin bowler,he played 51 times for the Ireland cricket team between 1893 and 1930,including 23 first-class matches,captaining them on 13 occasions. He also played first-class cricket for London County and Woodbrook Club and Ground. On his death,the Wisden Cricketer's Almanack described him as the best all-rounder produced by Ireland.
Blayney Balfour Hamilton was an Irish cricketer,badminton and tennis player. A right-handed batsman and left-arm spin bowler,he played nineteen times for the Ireland cricket team between 1891 and 1907,including one first-class match.
Edwin Alexander Bushe is a former Irish cricketer. A right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper,he made his debut for Ireland in July 1979 against Scotland. He went on to play for Ireland on six occasions,his last match also against Scotland in August 1980. Two of his matches had first-class status.
Jonathan Alexander Bushe is an Irish cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and a wicket-keeper.
Garfield David Harrison is one of four brothers to have played cricket for the Ireland cricket team. Garfield was by far the most successful of the four,playing 118 times for Ireland between 1983 and 1997,including twelve first-class matches against Scotland and 20 List A matches.
Thomas Hartigan Dixon was an Irish cricketer. A right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler,he made his debut for the Ireland cricket team against Scotland in July 1927 in a first-class match. He went on to play for Ireland on 17 occasions,his last match coming in July 1932 against the MCC.
William Raymond Hunter was a Northern Irish cricketer and rugby union player. He played for Ireland in both sports. In cricket he won 28 international caps and played in 11 first-class matches. In rugby he played ten times for Ireland in the Five Nations,scoring one try. He also played for the British and Irish Lions.

Samuel"Uel" Graham is an Irish former cricketer. A right-handed batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler,he played 18 times for the Ireland cricket team between 1992 and 1997,including two first-class matches,both of which were against Scotland,and ten List A matches.

Richard Averill Lloyd was an Irish cricketer and rugby union player. At cricket,he was a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler who played two first-class matches for the Ireland cricket team,also playing for Lancashire. In rugby union,he was a fly-half who played 19 times for the Ireland national rugby union team,scoring 72 points,and was regarded as one of the best goal kickers of the time. He is rated by his school,Portora Royal School,as one of their most famous pupils,alongside Samuel Beckett and Oscar Wilde.
Hugh Conn McCall,usually known by his middle name was an Irish cricketer. A right-handed batsman and left-arm orthodox spin bowler,he played 15 times for the Ireland cricket team in the 1960s including seven first-class matches. His son Mark played rugby union for Ireland.
