Sangareddy, formally Sangareddipet is a city and district headquarters of the Sangareddy district in the Indian state of Telangana. It was named after the ruler Sanga, who was the son of Rani Shankaramba, a ruler of Medak during the period of Nizams.It is the largest city in the Sangareddy district and 6th Largest city in the State.
