Ryan Bischel (born July 5, 1999) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender currently playing for the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Bischel began his collegiate career for Notre Dame during the 2019–20 season, where he served as the backup goaltender behind starter Cale Morris. He appeared in seven games and posted a 3–1–0 record with a 2.52 goals against average (GAA) and .915 save percentage. During the 2020–21 season, he appeared in nine games, and posted a 3–4–1 record with a 2.87 GAA and .890 save percentage, serving as a backup to Dylan St. Cyr. During the 2021–22 season, he appeared in 16 games, and posted a 10–4–0 record with a 2.08 GAA and .924 save percentage, splitting starting time with Matthew Galajda. [1]
During the 2022–23 season he started all 37 games, and posted a 16–16–4 record with a 2.39 GAA and .931 save percentage. During the regular season, he led the conference in saves, save percentage and minutes played. His .931 save percentage ranked second nationally, while his 1,183 saves led all collegiate goaltenders. He finished second in program history in season saves, behind Lance Madson (1988–89) with 1,288 and second in season save percentage behind Morris and St. Cyr. Following the season he was named a semifinalist for the Big Ten Player of the Year and Mike Richter Award. [2] He won the Big Ten Goaltender of the Year award and was named to the All-Big Ten First Team and named an AHCA West Second Team All-American. In March 2023, Bischel announced he would use his COVID-19 pandemic extra year of eligibility and return to Notre Dame for a fifth season. [6]
At the conclusion of his collegiate career, Bischel embarked on his professional career by signing a one-year AHL contract with the Providence Bruins for the 2024–25 season on March 18, 2024. [7] He later joined Providence for the remainder of the 2023–24 season on an amateur tryout contract on April 8, 2024.

Timothy Thomas Jr. is an American former professional ice hockey goaltender who mainly played in the National Hockey League (NHL), most notably with the Boston Bruins.
Tuukka Mikael Rask is a Finnish former professional ice hockey goaltender. Rask was drafted 21st overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs before being traded to the Boston Bruins in 2006, where he played his entire 15 season NHL career. Rask was consistently successful during his tenure with the Bruins. After winning the Stanley Cup as a backup with the Bruins in 2011, he led the Bruins to the Stanley Cup Finals on two occasions in 2013 and 2019. He also won the Vezina Trophy as the league's top goaltender during the 2013–14 season, and was a finalist for the 2019–20 award. He also won the William M. Jennings Trophy along with goaltender Jaroslav Halák in the 2019–20 season. Rask is also a two-time NHL All-Star team member. Internationally, he led team Finland to a bronze medal over team USA at the 2006 World Juniors, where he was also awarded the honor of Best Goaltender. He led them to another bronze medal against the United States at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Tuukka is the older brother of Joonas Rask, who plays professionally as a forward with Luleå HF in the SHL.
Hannu Pekka Toivonen is a Finnish former professional ice hockey goaltender. He is the current goaltending coach for the Toronto Marlies. He played with the Boston Bruins and the St. Louis Blues in the National Hockey League (NHL), the former of which drafted him 29th overall in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Toivonen also spent several years with the Tampereen Ilves of the Liiga in his home country.
Blaine Irwin Lacher was a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender. Lacher played for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL) in the mid-1990s.

Scott M. Gordon is an American professional ice hockey coach and former professional goaltender. He is currently an assistant coach for the San Jose Sharks. He previously served as the head coach of the NHL's New York Islanders from 2008 to 2010 and the head coach of the National Hockey League's Philadelphia Flyers in the 2018–19, and, as well as the head coach of the Providence Bruins and Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League (AHL) between 2002 and 2021. Prior to coaching he played 23 games in the NHL with the Quebec Nordiques during the 1989–90 and 1990–91 seasons, and in the minor leagues from 1986 to 1994. Internationally he played for the American national team at the 1992 Winter Olympics and the 1991 World Championships. Gordon was born in Brockton, Massachusetts, but grew up in Easton, Massachusetts.

Martin Jones is a Canadian ice hockey goaltender for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League. He previously played for the Los Angeles Kings, San Jose Sharks, Philadelphia Flyers, and Seattle Kraken. A standout goaltender in junior with the Calgary Hitmen, Jones was named the Western Hockey League's goaltender of the year in 2009–10 and won a silver medal with Team Canada at the 2010 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
