Ryan Ervine (born 19 July 1988) is a Zimbabwean cricketer who played two List A matches and three Twenty20 matches for Southern Rocks in the 2009/10 season. [1]
He is the brother of current Zimbabwe international Craig Ervine and former Zimbabwe international Sean Ervine. [2] [3] Ervine's uncle Neil and father Rory both played first-class cricket for Rhodesia B in the 1977/78 Castle Bowl competition and another uncle,Gordon Den,played for Rhodesia and Eastern province in the 1960s. [4] [5] Den's father,Ervine's grandfather,Alexander Den is recorded as having made one appearance for Rhodesia against the touring Australian national side in 1936. [6]
The Zimbabwe men's national cricket team,also known as the Chevrons,represents Zimbabwe in men's international cricket and is overseen by Zimbabwe Cricket. Zimbabwe has been a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1992. As of May,2023,Zimbabwe was ranked 10th in Tests,11th in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 11th in Twenty20 internationals (T20Is) by the ICC.
Stuart Vance Carlisle is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played 37 Test matches and 111 One Day Internationals for Zimbabwe. He also captained the side briefly,leading them in six Tests and 12 ODIs,and achieving a 2–3 result in an ODI series in India. He has the unique distinction of being the only Zimbabwean player to have scored both ODI and test century against Australia.

John Harcourt "Jackie" du Preez was a Rhodesian cricketer who played in two Test matches for South Africa against Australia in 1967.
Ryan Robert Watson is a Zimbabwean-born Scottish cricketer who played limited over internationals and captained Scotland. He currently plays club cricket with Forfarshire CC. Watson is a hard hitting right-handed batsman and is able to bowl both medium-fast and off-break deliveries. He hit the headlines in 2003 when he hit a century off just 43 balls in a game against Somerset at The Grange,Edinburgh. In 2008,he became one of the first three players to be awarded a contract with Cricket Scotland.
Craig Richard Ervine is a Zimbabwean international cricketer who captains Zimbabwe in limited overs matches. Ervine is a left-handed batter. He was born in Harare and has played Test and limited overs cricket for the Zimbabwe national cricket team and first-class cricket for a variety of Zimbabwean sides in the Logan Cup. He holds an Irish passport. In January 2022,in the opening fixture of the series against Sri Lanka,Ervine played in his 100th One Day International (ODI) match.
The Southern Rocks is one of five Zimbabwean cricket franchises. They are a first-class cricket team,based in the Masvingo and Matabeleland South area. They play their home matches at Masvingo Sports Club in Masvingo. The team initially ceased to play after the 2013–14 season. In their 47 first-class matches they won 3,lost 27,and drew 17. However,in December 2020,Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed they would be one of the teams playing in the 2020–21 Logan Cup Southern Rocks won their first Logan Cup trophy in the same 2020–21 season.
Thomas Egerton Seymour Francis played first-class cricket for Somerset,Cambridge University and Eastern Province between 1921 and 1928. He also played four rugby union international matches for England in 1925/26. He was born at Uitenhage,Cape Province,South Africa and died at Bulawayo,Zimbabwe.

The England cricket team toured Zimbabwe from 1 October to 13 October 2001 for a five-match One Day International (ODI) series,with three matches in Harare and two in Bulawayo. England won all five matches.
Sikandar Raza Butt is a Pakistani-born Zimbabwean international cricketer. He is an all-rounder,who bats right-handed and bowls right arm off-spin. He made his international debut for Zimbabwe in May 2013.
The Pro50 Championship,formerly known as the Faithwear Metbank One-Day Competition,Metbank Pro40 Championship,Faithwear Inter-Provincial Tournament,and Coca-Cola Metbank Pro50 Championship is the premier List A cricket tournament in Zimbabwe,organized by Zimbabwe Cricket. This tournament was started after the Zimbabwean cricket crisis,recommended by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It is jointly sponsored by Metbank and Coca-Cola.
The New Zealand cricket team toured Zimbabwe in July and August 2016 to play two Test matches. Both Test matches took place at Queens Sports Club,Bulawayo. They were the first Tests for Zimbabwe since they toured Bangladesh at the end of 2014. New Zealand won the two-match series 2–0.
The Zimbabwe cricket team toured Bangladesh in February and March 2020 to play one Test match,three One Day International (ODI) and two Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. On 26 January 2020,the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the itinerary for the tour. It was the first time that a tour between the two sides featured a one-off Test match. Zimbabwe last toured Bangladesh in October and November 2018,and last won a series in the country during their tour in November 2001. On 9 February,the BCB moved the three ODI matches from Chittagong to the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium,to give the venue more exposure and international attention. The one-off Test match was the 100th international match to be played between the two sides.
The Zimbabwe cricket team toured Sri Lanka in January 2022 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
Gordon Den is a Rhodesian cricketer. He played 27 first-class matches between 1963/64 and 1969/70 and 2 List A matches in the 1969/70 season.
The Bangladesh cricket team toured Zimbabwe in July and August 2022 to play three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The original tour schedule was for two Test matches and three ODIs,but the Test matches were replaced by the T20I fixtures. All the matches took place at the Harare Sports Club. Prior to the series,the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) named Nurul Hasan as their T20I captain for the tour,after Mahmudullah lacked performance and results. However,Nurul suffered a finger injury during the second T20I match and was ruled out of the rest of the tour. The BCB named Mosaddek Hossain as the team's captain for the third T20I match.
The Ireland cricket team toured Zimbabwe in December 2023 to play three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The T20I series formed part of Ireland's preparation for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament.
