George Sebastian, better known as S. George, is an Indian makeup artist and film producer who works in Malayalam film industry. He is the son of M. O. Devasia. [1] He is noted for his recurring collaboration with Mammootty, associating with him in more than 25 films and later becoming his personal makeup man. [2]
He has won the Kerala Film Critics Association Award for Karutha Pakshikal (2008) and Kerala State Film Award for Best Makeup for Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha (2010) [3] and Kerala State Film Award for Best Film (as producer) for Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam (2022).
Hailing from Alleppey, George was born to M.O Devasia, who was one of the leading makeup artists of Malayalam Cinema. He had his schooling in Chennai and later joined Malayalam cinema as an assistant to his father. George is married to Usha George. The couple has two daughters named Cynthia George and Cylvia George. George began his career as an assistant makeup artist to his father M.O Devasia through the 1991 film Neelagiri which was directed by I V Sasi. This also marked his long-time association with the veteran actor Mammooty. George collaborated with Mammooty in more than 25 major films and later went on to become Mammootty's personal makeup man. [5] He is debut as an independent makeup artist happened through the movie Kauravar which was directed by Joshiy [6]
In 2013, George entered into film production by producing the movie Immanuel which was directed by Lal Jose and had Mammootty and Fahad Fasil on the lead. Following which he produced movies like Achaa Din & Puzhu. [7]

Muhammad Kutty Panaparambil Ismail, known mononymously by the hypocorism Mammootty, is an Indian actor and film producer who works predominantly in Malayalam-language films. He has also appeared in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and English-language productions. In a career spanning five decades, he has appeared in more than 420 films, predominantly in lead roles. He is the recipient of several accolades, including three National Film Awards, eleven Kerala State Film Awards, eleven Kerala Film Critics Awards and fifteen Filmfare Awards South. He was honored with the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award by the Government of India in 1998, for his contributions to cinema. He was also honored with the Kerala Prabha Award by the Government of Kerala in 2022.
Ranjith Balakrishnan is an Indian film director, screenwriter, producer, and actor who works in Malayalam cinema. Ranjith made his directorial debut in 2001 with Ravanaprabhu, the sequel to Devaasuram. He has won three National Film Awards, including one for his film Spirit, which received the National Award for Best Film on Social Issues. His films Thirakkatha and Indian Rupee won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam in 2008 and 2011, respectively. He has also received six Kerala State Film Awards.

Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha is a 2009 Indian Malayalam-language mystery film written and directed by Ranjith, starring Mammootty, Shwetha Menon and Mythili. It is based on the novel of the same name by T. P. Rajeevan, which said the true story of the first recorded murder case in Kerala. Mammooty plays three characters in the film. The film was Mythili's debut in cinema. Ranjith also introduced about thirty Malayalam stage artists through this film. The film tells the story of a private detective, who returns to his birthplace, a village called Paleri, to solve a murder mystery that occurred on the same night he was born. Upon the release of the movie, it got an 'A' certificate due to its violent and adult content.

The 12th Asianet Film Awards, honors the best films in 2009 and was held on 16 January 2010 at Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha is a Malayalam-language mystery novel by T. P. Rajeevan. It was originally serialised in Mathrubhumi Weekly and was published as a book by Current Books. Paleri Manikyam was first written in English when the author was residing in Iowa, United States. He wrote it in Malayalam after coming back to Kerala. However, the English version, titled Undying Echoes of Silence, was released in August 2013 only.
