The SAFF U-18/U-19/U-20 Women's Championship is a biennial international association football tournament for women's national football teams under the age of 18/19/20, governed by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). All the seven teams of the member associations are eligible to compete in tournament, unless sanctioned by AFC or FIFA.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) (in French Confédération Africaine de Football) is the administrative and controlling body for association football, beach soccer, and futsal in Africa. It was established on 8 February 1957 at the Grand Hotel in Khartoum, Sudan by the national football associations of: Algeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and South Africa. following formal discussions between the aforementioned associations at the FIFA Congress held on 7 June 1956 at Avenida Hotel in Lisbon, Portugal.

In the 2017 edition, it was held as SAFF U-15 Championship and the subsequent 2022 edition, the SAFF U-17 Championship was introduced. The first edition of the tournament took place in Nepal in August 2011. The competition was launched under the leadership of SAFF President Kazi Salahuddin who was elected in 2009.

Shamsun Nahar, also known as Shamsun Nahar Sr., is a Bangladeshi women's association football defender who plays as a left-back for Bashundhara Kings Women and the Bangladesh women's national football team. She previously played for the Bangladesh women's national under-17 football team and was twice a member of the winning Bangladesh team in the AFC U-14 Girls' Regional Championship – South and Central, held in Nepal in 2015 and in Tajikistan in 2016. She currently plays football at the Kolsindur High School in Mymensingh as a defender, most recently in the 2017 AFC U-16 Women's Championship.

Mosammat Mishrat Jahan Moushumi is a Bangladeshi professional women's footballer who plays as a midfielder or winger for both the Bangladesh Women's Football League club Bashundhara Kings Women and the Bangladesh women's national football team. Currently, she is the captain of the Bangladesh women's national U19 team which won the 2018 SAFF U-18 Women's Championship. She was also the member of AFC U-14 Girls' Regional Championship – South and Central winning Bangladesh U-14 team in Nepal in 2015. She played all matches at 2017 AFC U-16 Women's Championship qualification which held in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Maria Manda Sangma is a Bangladeshi professional women's footballer who plays as a midfielder for both the Bangladesh Women's Football League club Bashundhara Kings Women and the Bangladesh women's national football team. Previously she played for the Kalsindur High School team in Mymensingh. She was a member of the Bangladesh Under-14 team that won the 2015 AFC U-14 Women's Regional Championship - South and Central in Nepal and the 2016 AFC U-14 Women's Regional Championship - South and Central in Tajikistan. As a defensive midfield player, she played in the 2017 AFC U-16 Women's Championship qualification which held in Dhaka, Bangladesh under Bangladesh U16.
