Secretogranin III, also known as SCG3, is a protein which in humans is encoded by the SCG3 gene. [5] [6]
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the chromogranin/secretogranin family of neuroendocrine secretory proteins. Granins may serve as precursors for biologically active peptides. Some granins have been shown to function as helper proteins in sorting and proteolytic processing of prohormones; however, the function of this protein is unknown. [6]
Palate, lung, and nasal epithelium clone protein (PLUNC) is a gene encoding a secretory protein. It is also called Secretory protein in upper respiratory tracts (SPURT). In humans, it is encoded by the BPIFA1 gene, previously called PLUNC.
Chromogranin A or parathyroid secretory protein 1 is a member of the granin family of neuroendocrine secretory proteins. As such, it is located in secretory vesicles of neurons and endocrine cells such as islet beta cell secretory granules in the pancreas. In humans, chromogranin A protein is encoded by the CHGA gene.
Granin is a protein family of regulated secretory proteins ubiquitously found in the cores of amine and peptide hormone and neurotransmitter dense-core secretory vesicles.
SCG2, also called secretogranin II , is a protein which in humans is encoded by the SCG2 gene.
Lithostathine-1-beta is a protein that in humans is encoded by the REG1B gene.
Secretory carrier-associated membrane protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SCAMP1 gene.
Neuroendocrine protein 7B2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SCG5 gene. The protein expressed by this gene is widely distributed in neuroendocrine tissues. It functions as a chaperone protein for the proprotein convertase PC2 by blocking the aggregation of this protein, and is required for the production of an active PC2 enzyme. It is an intrinsically disordered protein that may also function as a chaperone for other aggregating secretory proteins in addition to proPC2. 7B2 has been identified in vertebrates and in invertebrates as low as flatworms and insects. It is also called Sgne1 and Secretogranin V. In C. elegans, it was originally called e7B2 and then renamed Seven B Two. There is a Pfam entry for this protein: Secretogranin_V (PF05281).
Vesicle-associated membrane protein 8 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the VAMP8 gene.
Cysteine-rich secretory protein 3 is a cysteine-rich secretory protein that in humans is encoded by the CRISP3 gene.
Pancreatic secretory granule membrane major glycoprotein GP2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GP2 gene.
Synaptotagmin-like protein 4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SYTL4 gene.
Calcyclin-binding protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CACYBP gene.
Secretory carrier-associated membrane protein 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SCAMP2 gene.
Serine/threonine-protein kinase PFTAIRE-1 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PFTK1 gene.
Heat shock 70 kDa protein 4L is a protein that in humans is encoded by the HSPA4L gene.
Ras-related protein Rab-27A is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RAB27A gene.
Glyoxalase domain-containing protein 4 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the GLOD4 gene.
Probable carboxypeptidase X1 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the CPXM1 gene.
T-complex protein 11 homolog is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TCP11 gene.
Secretogranin-1, also known as Chromogranin B, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CHGB gene. It is a member of the granin protein family.
