Sentrin-specific protease 8 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the SENP8 gene. [5] [6] [7]
NEDD8 (MIM 603171) is a ubiquitin-like protein that becomes conjugated to the cullin (see CUL1; MIM 603134) subunit of several ubiquitin ligases. This conjugation, called neddylation, is required for optimal ubiquitin ligase activity. NEDD8-specific deneddylases, such as NEDP1, or DEN1, are required to process the NEDD8 propeptide at a C-terminal diglycine motif and to remove NEDD8 from cullins (Gan-Erdene et al., 2003).[supplied by OMIM] [7]
Cullin 1, also known as CUL1, is a human protein and gene from cullin family. This protein plays an important role in protein degradation and protein ubiquitination.
NEDD8 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NEDD8 gene. This ubiquitin-like (UBL) protein becomes covalently conjugated to a limited number of cellular proteins, in a process called NEDDylation similar to ubiquitination. Human NEDD8 shares 60% amino acid sequence identity to ubiquitin. The primary known substrates of NEDD8 modification are the cullin subunits of cullin-based E3 ubiquitin ligases, which are active only when NEDDylated. Their NEDDylation is critical for the recruitment of E2 to the ligase complex, thus facilitating ubiquitin conjugation. NEDD8 modification has therefore been implicated in cell cycle progression and cytoskeletal regulation.
Neural precursor cell expressed developmentally downregulated gene 4-like (NEDD4L) or NEDD4-2 is an enzyme of the NEDD4 family. In human the protein is encoded by the NEDD4L gene. In mouse the protein is commonly known as NEDD4-2 and the gene Nedd4-2.
Kallikrein-2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the KLK2 gene, and is particularly associated with prostatic tissue.
Nucleoporin 153 (Nup153) is a protein which in humans is encoded by the NUP153 gene. It is an essential component of the basket of nuclear pore complexes (NPCs) in vertebrates, and required for the anchoring of NPCs. It also acts as the docking site of an importing karyopherin. On the cytoplasmic side of the NPC, Nup358 fulfills an analogous role.
Cullin-2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CUL2 gene.
COP9 signalosome complex subunit 4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the COPS4 gene.
RING-box protein 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RNF7 gene.
COP9 signalosome complex subunit 8 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the COPS8 gene.
NEDD8-activating enzyme E1 catalytic subunit is a protein that in humans is encoded by the UBA3 gene.
SUMO1/sentrin/SMT3 specific peptidase 3, also known as SENP3, is a protein which in humans is encoded by the SENP3 gene.
AP-1 complex subunit gamma-like 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the AP1G2 gene.
Sentrin-specific protease 1 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the SENP1 gene.
Sentrin-specific protease 6 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the SENP6 gene.
Sentrin-specific protease 2 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the SENP2 gene.
Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 15 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the USP15 gene.
Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 47 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the USP47 gene.

NEDD8-conjugating enzyme Ubc12 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the UBE2M gene.
Sentrin-specific protease 7 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the SENP7 gene.
