SKAMP is a Lithuanian pop band.
SKAMP blends pop, rock, Hip Hop, and reggae genres. Skamp rose to fame in Lithuania in May 1998, with a cover of George Gershwin's Summertime . The song was a success in Lithuania, and the band went on to release six studio albums. The members have also pursued several independent projects. SKAMP have supported several world-famous artists and groups; such as The Black Eyed Peas, Wheatus, Bomfunk MCs. [1] Over the years the trio have garnered many awards including Best Debut (1999), Best Band (2000, 2001, 2004 & 2005) and Best Album (2000, 2001 & 2004). Erica has won "Best Female Artist" twice (2001 & 2002) and Vee received "Best Producer" in 2000. In 2007 the video, for their song "Reach", was premiered on the very first MTV BALTICS "Making The Video". MTV BALTICS first "MTV LIVE" show aired "SKAMP - Live&Deadly" (DVD) and it was the first time an entire week was dedicated to one band. 2008 released their 6th studio album "Kazka" which spawned hits such as "Always Too Much", "Ten Kur Tu" and "Sportas". Nominated for "BEST BALTIC ACT" at the MTV European Music Awards both in 2007 and 2008.
SKAMP appeared in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 held in Copenhagen, Denmark with their song You Got Style . They finished in 13th place with 35 points which, at the time, was Lithuania's highest position in the contest until the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 when LT United finished in 6th. Victor Diawara was also a member of LT United.
John David Jackson, better known by his stage name Fabolous, is an American rapper. Raised in Brooklyn, he first gained recognition for his ability upon performing live on DJ Clue's Hot 97 radio show. Jackson then signed to Clue's record label Desert Storm Records, in a joint venture with Elektra Records. He rose to further prominence with his debut studio album Ghetto Fabolous (2001), which spawned the hit singles "Can't Deny It" and "Young'n ." Adopting a further commercially-oriented approach, his second album, Street Dreams (2003), was supported by the singles "Can't Let You Go" and "Into You" —both of which peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100.

Music was an important part of polytheistic, pre-Christian Lithuania – rituals were accompanied by music instruments and singing, deeds of the heroes and those who didn't return from the war were celebrated in songs.

"Summertime" is a song recorded by American singer-songwriter Beyoncé, featuring American rapper P. Diddy. "Summertime" was written by Beyoncé, Angela Beyincé, P. Diddy, Steven "Stevie J." Jordan, Adonis Shropshire, Varick "Smitty" Smith and Mario Winans, while production was handled by Winans and P. Diddy. The song was later remixed to feature vocals from American rapper Ghostface Killah. "Summertime" was included on the soundtrack album for the film The Fighting Temptations (2003), in which Beyoncé played the lead female role. The original version of the song was released as a B-side to "Crazy in Love" in the UK and Australia, while it was issued as a 12-inch vinyl single in the United States through Columbia Records.
Deadly Venoms is an American Wu-Tang Clan-affiliated all-female hip hop group formed in 1997 consisting of N-Tyce, J-Boo, Champ MC, and Finesse. X Clan-affiliated rapper Lin Que was initially intended to be part of the group but departed soon after its inception due to business decisions. Each member of the group were experienced rappers prior to joining the collective. Finesse recorded an album with rapper Synquis named Soul Sisters in 1988, Champ released her debut album Ghetto Flava on East West America/Atlantic Records, and N-Tyce was signed to Wild Pitch/EMI in the mid 1990s and released a few singles including the RZA-produced "Hush Hush Tip" featuring Method Man. The Deadly Venoms was J-Boo's professional introduction.
Linas and Simona was a music duo that represented Lithuania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004. With 26 points, they placed 16th in the semifinal and could not participate in the final. However, they befriended Ruslana, the winner of the Eurovision 2004, and together recorded Fight for Love and Freedom.
Lithuania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with the song "We Are the Winners" written by Andrius Mamontovas, Saulius Urbonavičius and Viktoras Diawara. The song was performed by the group LT United. Songwriter and group member Viktoras Diawara previously represented Lithuania in the 2001 contest as part of the group SKAMP, placing 13th with the song "You Got Style". The Lithuanian broadcaster Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT) organised the national final "Eurovizijos" dainų konkurso nacionalinė atranka in order to select the Lithuanian entry for the 2006 contest in Athens, Greece. The national final took place over eight weeks and involved 49 artists competing in two different competitive streams: newcomers and established artists. In the final, 16 entries remained and a public vote entirely selected "We Are the Winners" performed by LT United as the winner with 32,669 votes.

He won the 'Best Performer of the Year', 'Best Song', 'Best Video', 'Golden Disc' in the Lithuanian National Radio Awards. Chošnau is continuously named as one of the most played and most performing artists of Lithuania.
Elena Puidokaitė is a Lithuanian pop singer. She made her debut in 1998, when the music manager Martynas Tyla offered her to join the new band "Cushions". Their most successful hit "Winter" was recorded with Atlanta.
Atalyja is a Lithuanian folk-rock music band. They focus on the popularizing of archaic Lithuanian folklore and bringing ancient songs to contemporary audiences. The band has produced songs of various musical styles, a broad tonal palette, and unique arrangements. The ancient melodies are enriched with elements of rock, jazz, funk, blues rock, metal, and Indian music. Atalyja regularly participates in music festivals. The band has released three CD albums and has given performances in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Germany, Turkey, Czechia, Belarus, and Russia.
NSYNC is an American vocal group and boy band formed by Chris Kirkpatrick in Orlando, Florida, in 1995 and launched in Germany by BMG Ariola Munich. The group consists of Kirkpatrick, Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, and JC Chasez. Their self-titled debut album was successfully released to European countries in 1997, and later debuted in the U.S. market with the single "I Want You Back".

Lithuania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 with the song "You Got Style" written by Viktoras Diawara, Vilius Alesius and Erica Jennings. The song was performed by the group Skamp. The Lithuanian broadcaster Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT) returned to the Eurovision Song Contest after a one-year absence following their relegation in 2000 as one of the six countries with the lowest average scores over the previous five contests. LRT organised the national final "Eurovizijos" dainų konkurso nacionalinė atranka in order to select the Lithuanian entry for the 2001 contest in Copenhagen, Denmark. The national final involved 15 competing entries and "You Got Style" performed by Skamp was selected as the winner following the combination of votes from a jury panel, votes from the venue audience and a public vote.
