Sagen Maddalena is an American sport shooter. She represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. [1] [2] [3] She currently lives in Groveland, California. [4]

She is a sergeant in the United States Army and serves as a shooter/instructor with the international team of the Army Marksmanship Unit. [5]

Sagen got her start in competitive precision shooting on the state team as a California Grizzlies junior team member, competing in service rifle and being team captain. She credits this team for teaching her leadership and teamwork. She attended her first Civilian Marksmanship Program Highpower National Match at Camp Perry, Ohio during the summer of 2010. Sagen was awarded Distinguished Rifleman by the Civilian Marksmanship Program in 2011.

Maddalena competed on the University of Alaska Fairbanks Rifle Team [6] 2013-2018. [7] During that time she redshirted her first year and then competed the her next four years. Maddalena is a four-time NRA First Team All-American in Air Rifle (2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17 & 2017-18), three-time NRA First Team All-American in Smallbore (2015-16, 2016-17 & 2017-18), three-time CRCA First Team Aggregate All-American (2016, 2017 & 2018), and NRA Second Team All-American in Smallbore (2015).

Camp Perry is a National Guard training facility located on the shore of Lake Erie in northern Ohio near Port Clinton. In addition to its regular mission as a military training base, Camp Perry also boasts the second largest outdoor rifle range in the world after the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, New Mexico. The firing is done in the direction of the open water of the lake, that lies just beyond an earthen berm and the targets.

The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) is a national organization dedicated to training and educating U.S. citizens in responsible uses of firearms and airguns through gun safety training, marksmanship training, and competitions. The CMP is a federally chartered 501(c)(3) corporation that places a priority on serving youth through gun safety and marksmanship activities that encourage personal growth and build life skills.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers rifle team represents the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in the Patriot Rifle Conference. Rifle became an official sport at the university in 1998 and competed as an independent for six years before joining the Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) in 2004. NU left the GARC for the Patriot Rifle Conference in 2021. The team practices and hosts meets at the ten-point indoor firing range located in NU's Military and Naval Sciences Building (ROTC). Shooting sports in Canada are practised across the country at recreational and competitive levels, including internationally and at the Olympics. Johnathan Hall (1 March 1988, Birmingham, Alabama) is an American sport shooter who competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Men's 10 metre air rifle. He is the third son of Joe and Creaestia Hall, and started shooting because his two older brothers were in the sport.

The South Florida Bulls rifle team represented the University of South Florida in the sport of rifle. The program consisted of a men's and women's co-ed team which competed in NCAA Division I. The rifle team only existed for five years, but was very successful in that time, earning three top-three team finishes in NCAA National Championship events and winning two individual national titles. Roger Johnson served as head coach for the team's entire existence.

Emmett Swanson was an American sports shooter. He competed at the 1948 Summer Olympics and 1952 Summer Olympics. He served as president of the National Rifle Association of America in 1948. Swanson was noted as a versatile shooter, earning NRA Distinguished Marksman status in the Rifle, Pistol and International classes.

David T. Cloft is a competitive smallbore and long range rifle shooter from the United States, who has won seven National Championships and has set 11 US National Records. In 1999, he became the first American to be Knighted by the Princess of Buedingen, Germany, after winning their annual Schutzenfest. He formerly served as a United States Army officer and retired at the rank of lieutenant colonel.

Ryan Tanoue is an American sport shooter. He is an ISSF World Cup gold medalist and the 2002 NCAA Champion in air rifle. After serving six years as a Nevada Wolf Pack rifle team volunteer assistant, Tanoue now acts as the Director of Shooting Sports for Ohio State Athletics and is the head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes rifle team.

Mary Carolynn Tucker is an American sport shooter. She won silver in the 10m air rifle mixed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Previously she has won gold at the 2021 ISSF World Cup in the 10 metre air rifle. She also won a silver medal in 10 metre air rifle team women and a bronze medal in 10m air rifle mixed team in the ISSF World Cup 2021, New Delhi. After the games she took home 6 medals from the Junior World Championships and the 10 meter air rifle championship from the 2021 Pan American Games. Tucker is right handed and is right eye dominant.
