Sajan Lamichhane [1] (born 23 August 2001) is a Nepali cricket photographer and photojournalist known for documenting the human stories behind Nepal's cricket scene.
Sajan was born to Kedar Lamichhane and Bhawani Lamichhane in Kavresthali, Kathmandu. [2] His interest in photography began in the fourth grade when Polish visitors brought cameras to his school, inspiring him to dream of owning a DSLR. [3] Overcoming financial challenges, he saved to buy his first camera and gradually developed his skills. He founded "Sajan's Photography" and also works as a photojournalist for online portals.He has completed his Bachelor's degree in Information Management and Diploma in Photography and Videography from Bimba Films.He covers domestic and international cricket matches, serving as the official photographer for the Cricket Association of Nepal. One of his most recognized works is the viral photograph of the Nepal national flag among umbrellas during a rain-affected match during ACC premier cup 2023. Despite challenges such as limited internet connectivity at venues and high costs of equipment, his dedication has earned him recognition, including a Commitment Award from Nepal’s head coach Monty Desai in 2023.By this year , Nepal gets consecutive icc digital fan of the year for 2023 and 2024.
