Salvador do Mundo (Portuguese for Saviour of the World) is a village in Bardez taluka, Goa, in India. [1] The village is located south west of Socorro and east of Porvorim. The Mount has a Chapel, which is used to hold services during the Lenten Season.

The school in Salvador do Mundo is known as Smt. Sunandabai Bandodkar High School, which is near the Village Panchayat. All Gram Sabha meetings are held in this school.
The pattos are covered by water on one side and paddy fields on the other. The area is hilly and mostly forested by teak, cashew and mango. The western part has paddy fields that is watered by a tidal creek that feeds into the Mandovi River.
Church
The Salvador do Mundo Church (The Saviour of the World) was built in 1565. [2] It is named after the patron Salvador do Mundo meaning "Saviour of the World". The main feast is on 6 August, which is the celebration of the feast of the Transfiguration of Jesus. The priest present in the church blesses the fields.
The church is among the oldest still standing in Goa. The Parish Priest of the church is Rev. Fr. John Fernandes.
The official Chapels present in Salvador do Mundo are St. Rita (Donvaddo), St. Anne (Salem), Mãe De Deus (Paetona), St. Sebastian (Badem & Torda). The striking hallmark of the Mãe de Deus Chapel is the pulpit and the main altar. It belonged to the Dominican Fathers. The chapel celebrated 250 years in October 2016.

The Vettukad Church is also known as the Madre De Deus Church meaning Mother of God and is especially renowned among the pilgrims and tourists for the Feast of Christ the King celebration. Madre de Deus Church bears the tradition of more than 500 years. It is traditionally believed that the famous missionary, St. Francis Xavier, visited Vettukad somewhere between 1543 and 1547 to evangelize the faithful of the region. The letters written by Fr. Francis Peres S. J. addressed to the superior general of the society of Jesus in Rome in the year 1568 reveal that Madre De Deus Vettukad parish had a Christian population of 175. It is reported in the letter that when St. Francis Xavier reached Vettukad, he was amused to see a small chapel (japalayam) and a granite cross there. This is a clear evidence of the fact that there existed a good number of faithful Christians in Vettukad long back from 15th century onwards.
The Transfiguration of Our Lord Parish Church is the only Roman Catholic church in Cavinti, Laguna, Philippines. Its titular patron is Señor del Trasfiguracion or commonly known as El Salvador del Mundo whose feast day is celebrated every August 6. The Our Lady of Snows and St. Joseph, husband of Mary served as the town's secondary patrons.

Our Lady of Grace Church is a Roman Catholic church in Chorão, Goa, India. It is bounded on its north and west by the Mapusa River, with Salvador do Mundo remaining exactly opposite to it. To the south is the river Mandovi with Ribandar opposite to it and to its east is the St Bartholomew's Church.
