Old Goa is a historical city situated on the southern banks of the Mandovi River in the Ilhas sub-district of North Goa in the Indian state of Goa.
Panaji is the capital of the Indian state of Goa and the headquarters of North Goa district. It lies on the banks of the Mandovi River estuary in the Tiswadi sub-district (taluka). With a population of 114,759 in the metropolitan area, Panaji is Goa's largest urban agglomeration, ahead of Mapusa, Old Goa, Ponda, Margao and Vasco da Gama.
North Goa is one of the two districts that make up the state of Goa in India. The district has an area of 1736 km², and is bounded by Kolhapur district andSindhudurg district of Maharashtra state to the north and by Belgaum district of Karnataka to the east, by South Goa district to the south, and by the Arabian Sea to the west.
Bardez is a region situated in the northern portion of the state of Goa, India. It is co-terminus with the eponymous taluka of the district of North Goa.
Porvorim, also known as Parvari, is the De facto legislative and executive capital of the state of Goa, India, as both the Goa Legislative Assembly and Secretariat are functioning from the same complex in the region of Alto Porvorim in porvorim.(Alto - Portuguese word meaning high or upper). Soon it will also become the De facto judicial capital of Goa, when the High Court of Bombay at Goa which is currently functioning from Lyceum complex in Panaji, is transferred to the new building complex which is being constructed in Alto - Betim Porvorim region of Porvorim. The construction of the new building is expected to be completed by December 2020. Porvorim is situated on the right bank of the Mandovi River, as de jure capital of Goa, Panaji is located on the opposite bank. Porvorim is considered an upmarket residential hub as it lies on the Mumbai–Goa highway NH66. Goa's largest shopping centre - Mall De Goa - is situated here.
Navelim is a town and suburb of the city of Margao located in the Salcete sub-district of South Goa district, Goa, India.
Kadamba Transport Corporation abbreviated as KTC is a Government of Goa road transport undertaking. It was set up in 1980 by then Chief Minister Pratapsingh Rane. Goa has long been dependent on privatised bus-transport, and the blue-and-red-and-white Kadamba buses are an exception to this rule. While the KTC has provided transport and connectivity to Goa's main towns and rural hinterland, it has also, in recent years, faced charges of mismanagement, politicisation and corruption in some of its deals.
Nachinola is a small, landlocked village in North Goa district, Goa, India. It is situated between Moira and Aldona, lying in the Bardez sub-district or taluka. It is divided into three vadde. These are the vadde of Vainguinn, Zoidar, and Borvonn. For administrative purposes, Panarim, a vaddo of Aldona, is also considered to be a part of Nachinola. The scenic village is mostly tucked in, away from the main road that passes through it and connects Mapusa to Aldona.

Pilerne is a village situated in north Goa in the Bardez taluka of the North Goa district. It is rustic despite being fairly close to the North Goa tourist belt, and is considered a Census Town for the purposes of the Census. The village has mainly been inhabited by Goan Catholics.

Pirna is a village in the North Goa sub-district or taluka of Bardez and is located in the northern edge of the sub-district. It is close to the Colvale river and is the home of the 150-metre long Pirna-Ozarim bridge at Thorli Chandai. The bridge connects Pirna in Bardez taluka with Pernem taluka. It was inaugurated in May 2006.
