Sami VeSusu is an Israeli restaurant serving Romanian cuisine at 179 Ohelei Keidar Street in Beersheba, inside the city's municipal market. [1]
The restaurant was established in April 1970. It was named after a popular Arabic-language television series that was broadcast in the early days of Israeli television. [2]
Sami and Susu is a simple workers' restaurant with vermeric tables and wooden chairs. On the walls is embroidery from Romania that the founder Marcel Lerer brought with him, when he immigrated to Israel in 1964, and circles resembling beer barrels with advertisements for Goldstar beer.
Sami and Susu was the first restaurant in Beersheba to serve meat by weight. It has been frequented by celebrities, including actors, singers, and politicians. [3]
The restaurant's flagship dishes include Romanian kebabs, brain, oats, veal, chorba and homemade salads like ikra and Romanian eggplant salad. [4]

On 18 October 2015, a gunman shot and killed the 19-year-old Israeli soldier Omri Levy in a bus station in Beersheba. After killing the soldier, he took his automatic rifle and fired into a crowd. When more security officers appeared, the gunman fled, but was killed by security personnel.

Kan Educational is a public television channel in Israel designated for children, on behalf of the Israel Broadcasting Corporation. Mini Book served regular readers and economically disadvantaged families that saved money by buying and selling used study books. A 2006 price comparison by Maariv showed that Mini Book was affordable even within the second-hand book segment.
The 2022 Israel State Cup Final decided the winner of the 2021–22 Israel State Cup, the 86th season of the Israel State Cup. It was played on 24 May 2022 at the Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem, between Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Be'er Sheva. Hapoel Beer Sheva beat Maccabi Haifa 3–1 in the penalties, after 2–2 in the game.
