Sandefjord Turn- og Idrettsforening is a sports club in Sandefjord, Norway. The club has activities in basketball, handball, orienteering, athletics, skiing, volleyball, gymnastics and children's allsports.
Its local rival is IL Runar.
The handball club is known as Sandefjord Håndball, and was founded on March 30th 2011. The men team won the 2005-2006 Norwegian national league. They were relegated in 2010 after finishing 10th and losing the playoff matches to Oppsal.
After a year in the second tier, the two clubs met again in the promotion/relegation playoff with roles reversed. Oppsal won again, but withdrew from the Handball league, and therefore Sandefjord was promoted. [1]
Idrottslaget Hødd is a multi-sports club from Ulsteinvik in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. Founded in 1919, it has sections for team handball, gymnastics and football. It is best known for their men's football team, which since 2015 plays at Høddvoll, whose stated capacity is 4,081. The club's old home ground, Høddvoll Stadion, holds the record attendance of over 12,000 spectators at a match against Vålerenga in 1981.
Sandefjord Fotball, commonly known simply as Sandefjord, is a Norwegian professional football club, founded on 10 September 1998. The club currently competes in Eliteserien, the top tier of the Norwegian football league system. Their home ground is the Jotun Arena, located in Sandefjord, Vestfold.
IFK Malmö Handboll is the handball department of the sports club IFK Malmö. The club's colours are yellow and white. The handball department was founded in 1933. They made their debut in the top division, at the time known as Allsvenskan, in 1942–43, but were relegated after one season. They returned to Allsvenskan in 1945–46, but were relegated again. They were promoted back to Allsvenskan in 1949 and lasted in the league for two seasons before once again being relegated. IFK Malmö returned to Allsvenskan for the 1953–54 season, finishing fourth in the league that season. They finished second in the league in 1956–57, making them Swedish Championship silver medallists. In the following two seasons they finished fourth and third, before being relegated in 1960. IFK Malmö were promoted to Allsvenskan again in 1969 and finished fifth, but were relegated in the following season. They returned to Allsvenskan after one season and reached the play-offs, which had been introduced to determine the Swedish champions, in 1972–73. They were eliminated by IF Saab in the semi-finals. IFK Malmö won the regular season in the following season, but lost against SoIK Hellas in the semi-finals. Two years later they again reached the playoffs, but were once again defeated in the semi-finals. They were relegated in 1976–77. They returned to the top division in 1988–89 and 2003–04, but were immediately relegated both times. IFK Malmö were promoted from the second division in 2007, but after that season the senior team merged with Malmö HP to form a new club named HK Malmö. IFK Malmö has since started a new senior team which in 2018–19 plays in Division 4, the sixth level.
Idrettslaget Runar is a Norwegian sports club from Haukerød in Sandefjord. It has sections for athletics, handball, football, and cross-country skiing. It was established on January 7, 1949.
Elverum Håndball is a Norwegian professional handball club from Elverum, Norway. Currently, Elverum Håndball competes in the Norwegian Premier League Men's Handball, and they have been successful title winners for several years consecutively. The club was founded in 1946 by a group of 26 people. The Norway national team coach, Christian Berge, was coach for Elverum Håndball from 2008 to 2014 which he had to leave in order to coach the Norway men's national team.

REMA 1000-ligaen is the premier men's professional handball league for Norwegian handball clubs. It is administered by the Norwegian Handball Federation, and the winners are recognized as Norwegian champions. It was established in 1966, and it is currently contested by fourteen teams. Sandefjord TIF, is the championship's most successful team with nine titles, followed by Oppsal and Elverum with six titles. Elverum is also the most successful in the playoffs with 11 titles.
