Sanna Visser (born 2 May 1984 in Friesland) is a retired volleyball player from the Netherlands, who played in different positions. She was a member of the Dutch National Women's Team that won the gold medal at the FIVB World Grand Prix 2007 in Ningbo, China. After volleyball, Visser embarked on a corporate career.
Beach volleyball is a team sport played by two teams of two or more players on a sand court divided by a net. Similar to indoor volleyball, the objective of the game is to send the ball over the net and to ground it on the opponent's side of the court. The volleyball tournaments at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro was played between 6 and 21 August. 24 volleyball teams and 48 beach volleyball teams, total 386 athletes, participated in the tournament. The indoor volleyball competition took place at Ginásio do Maracanãzinho in Maracanã, and the beach volleyball tournament was held at Copacabana Beach, in the temporary Copacabana Stadium.

Portugal won the inaugural edition, defeating Czech Republic in the final and qualified for the 2019 Nations League.

The final tournament will be held in Poland and Slovenia from 26 August to 11 September 2022. It was originally planned to be held in Russia from 26 August to 11 September 2022. However, due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine starting on 24 February, Russia was stripped of organization rights.
