Volero Zürich is a Swiss volleyball club based in Zürich. It has many teams with the women's team being the most successful and currently playing in the National League A. Since the mid 2000s, the club has also frequently participated in European competitions, most notably the CEV Women's Champions League. In 2018 the elite women's team joined Entente sportive Le Cannet-Rocheville, forming Volero Le Cannet, a team located in Le Cannet, France.
Foluke Atinuke Gunderson is an indoor volleyball player who plays as a middle blocker for Japanese club Hisamitsu Springs. Born in Canada, she represents the United States internationally. Gunderson won gold with the national team at the 2010 FIVB World Grand Prix, 2014 World Championship, the Rimini Volleyball Nations League, and the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, silver at the 2012 London Summer Olympics, and bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Her 2020 Olympics win allowed her to complete the trifecta of winning an Olympic bronze, silver, and gold medal.
Arie Selinger is an Israeli volleyball coach and former player. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest volleyball coaches of all time. He is credited with transforming the United States women's national volleyball team into a powerhouse in the 1980s.
Rosir Calderón Díaz is a Cuban-born Russian volleyball player who was a member of the Cuban women's national team that won the bronze medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics. In November 2014, she received Russian Sport citizenship. She plays for the Greek club AEK Athens of the A1 Ethniki women's volleyball league.
Hélia Rogério de Souza, nicknamed Fofão, is a retired Brazilian female volleyball player who competed for her country's national team in five consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1992. She won a gold medal in 2008 and twice won a bronze medal, in 1996 and 2000. She also claimed the gold medal at the 1999 Pan American Games.
Konstantin Anatolyevich Ushakov is a Russian retired volleyball player, who was a member of the Russian men's national volleyball team that won the silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Playing as a setter, he won the 2002 Volleyball World League and the 1999 FIVB World Cup with Russia. A four-time Olympian, he also competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics, claiming the bronze medal.
