Saratchandra Shenoi (born 25 October 1953) is an Indian poet, translator, and academic known for his contributions to Konkani literature. He has authored over 30 books across multiple languages, including Konkani, Malayalam, and Sanskrit. In 2022, he was honored with the Sahitya Akademi Award for his Konkani poetry collection, Antarnad. [1]
Shenoi was born in Cochin (now Kochi), Kerala. He pursued his higher education at the University of Kerala, where he earned a Master of Arts in Sanskrit and a Master of Arts in Malayalam. He also holds a Sahitya Ratna in Hindi and a Diploma in Journalism. [1]
Shenoi served as an associate professor and head of the Department of Sanskrit at R.L.V. College of Music and Fine Arts in Tripunithura. His academic career spanned over three decades before his retirement. [1]
