Rogers Sarnia Bayfest was an annual music festival held in Centennial Park in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada each July, from 1999 to 2012. At its end, the event was attracting approximately 100,000 visitors. [1]
As of 2007, Bayfest was run by Bayfest Festival of Performing Arts; a non-profit charitable organization, which involved and benefited a number of charities. [2] Bayfest Festival of Performing Arts donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to local non-profit organizations. Bayfest also had 2 scholarship programs for Sarnia-Lambton County students. The first was The Jim Stokley Scholarship which was founded after the passing of Jim Stokley (co-founder of Bayfest); the second was a Bayfest/Metalworks Institute scholarship. Two Jim Stokley Scholarships and one Bayfest/Metalworks Institute scholarship were given out annually. [3]
For 2009, 2010 and 2011, Bayfest split into two week-ends in July: Rock acts played on the 2nd weekend, and Country on the 3rd weekend. The festival won numerous awards, including the Ontario Tourism's Best Business/Event of the year award in 2009, and Festival and Events Ontario's Festival of Distinction award, which is a Lifetime Achievement award.
On February 25, 2013, the Sarnia Bayfest announced it was taking an indefinite hiatus [4] as a result of high debt, increasing costs and stagnant sponsorships. [5] [6] [7]

Between its 16 albums and DVDs, the band has received 18 gold and nine platinum awards in Canada and the United States. They were nominated for multiple Juno Awards, including the "Group of the Year Award" in 1979, 1985, 1986, and 1987. Hedley was a Canadian pop rock band that originated in Abbotsford, British Columbia, originally formed in 2003. They were named after the unincorporated community of Hedley, British Columbia, a name chosen after members heard that it was for sale for $346,000. Down with Webster is a Canadian rap rock band from The Beaches area of Toronto who signed with Universal Motown in April 2009. The band first achieved commercial success with the release of the 2009 EP, Time to Win, Vol. I which consisted of the singles "Rich Girl$", "Your Man" and "Whoa Is Me". Their major-label debut album, Time to Win, Vol. II (2011) featured the track "She's Dope". The 2014 follow-up album Party for Your Life included the songs "One in a Million" and "Chills." The band has been nominated for Juno Awards, MuchMusic Video Awards and Canadian Radio Music Awards.
Big Music Fest was an annual music festival held in various locations in Southern Ontario, Canada. Belleville hosted every year from 2008 to 2013 with exception of 2011. Wiarton hosted an additional concert in 2009, while Owen Sound held additional concerts in 2010 and 2012. Bobcaygeon was the sole host in 2011. Kitchener was the sole host in 2014 and 2015. An anticipated return in 2016 was cancelled and no announcements have been made for 2017 as of April 4, 2017.
