Kampala is the capital and largest city of Uganda. The city proper has a population of 1,875,834 (2024) and is divided into the five political divisions of Kampala, Kawempe, Makindye, Nakawa, and Rubaga.
Makerere University is Uganda's largest and oldest institution of higher learning, first established as a technical school in 1922, and the oldest currently active university in East Africa. Emmanuel Amey Ojara, MBChB, MMed Surgery, was a medical doctor, surgeon, and oncologist in East Africa. At the time of his death, he was a senior lecturer at the University of Nairobi, School of Medicine.
Syda Namirembe Bbumba is a Ugandan accountant, politician and banker. Nakasero is a hill and neighborhood in the centre of Kampala, the capital and largest city of Uganda. Nakasero is important to Uganda's economy and politics, as it is home to Kampala's central business district and several government offices, including the Ugandan Parliament Buildings.

Namirembe is a hill in Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city. It is also a common name given to girls in several Baganda clans. Namirembe comes from the Luganda word "mirembe" meaning peace. Namirembe loosely translates into Full of Peace. Legend has it that this hill was a gathering place for celebrating peace or war victories.

He served as a minister of Animal Resources in the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Industry during Idi Amin regime. He was the first Ugandan to become part of Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons - London as a member.
Alice Norah Nabatanzi, is a Ugandan researcher and academic scientist at Makerere University, Uganda's oldest and largest public university, where she earned a doctorate degree at age 28.
