The Scottish National League (currently named Tennents National League One for sponsorship reasons) is an amateur league competition for rugby union clubs in Scotland. It forms the 2nd tier of the Scottish League Championship.
The league winner is automatically promoted to the top tier of Scottish league rugby (The Tennents Premiership ). The bottom two clubs are relegated into National League Two, replaced by the top two teams in that league.
With the creation of the SRU's semi-professional Super 6 there was a major reshuffling of the top leagues. The six franchise holding clubs saw their "Club XV's" relegated from the Premiership, replaced by the six top teams from the 2018-19 National League One.
Play was suspended on 14 March due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom. Furthermore, the season was officially cancelled without any winner or relegation/promotion on 31 March, despite Biggar already crowned league champions.

Morley Rugby Union Football Club is a rugby union club based in Morley, West Yorkshire. England. The club are famous for playing in a maroon kit and thus are nicknamed "The Maroons". They currently play in North 1 East, a level six league in the English rugby union league system, following their relegation at the end of the 2017-18 season.

Coventry Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club based in Coventry, England. The club enjoyed great success during the 1960s and 70s, with many players representing their countries. Currie Rugby Football Club are an Edinburgh-based rugby union club in the Scottish Rugby Union, they currently play in the Scottish Premiership. Despite the name, "Currie" RFC is actually based in the neighbouring suburb of Balerno, and they play at Malleny Park.

The 2020–21 RFU Championship, also known as the 2020–21 Greene King IPA Championship for sponsorship reasons, is the twelfth season of the RFU Championship, the professional second tier of rugby union in England. It features ten English teams and one from Jersey. The competition is sponsored by Greene King for the eighth successive season. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom, this season features a truncated timeframe of just 16 weeks with a later start and fewer rounds.
