Sdorica is a 2018 gacha and tile-matching role-playing video game developed and published by Rayark. It was released on the iOS and Android platforms as a free-to-play game, supporting English, Japanese, and Chinese languages. The game underwent lengthy development and soft launch periods before being formally released in April 2018.
Characters are divided into three classes: support, attack, and defense. [1] Each character has three corresponding skills or attacks, relating to the number of orbs matched in the bottom of the screen. Players build teams of three characters, one of each class. Depending on what content is played, characters may be locked rather than freely chosen for challenges or storylines. There are two slots in the team for advisors, which provide passive or active abilities that affect the entire team. [2]
Two rows of orbs corresponding to class colors (white, purple, and yellow for support, attack, and defense, respectively), fill the bottom of the screen with advisor abilities along the sides. The combat is turn-based, with enemies having a number above their head representing the amount of actions before their attack. [2]
The game is played through a single-player campaign; however, players are able to join guilds with other players that allow for messaging, donations, in-game markets, and guild-specific rewards and challenges. [1] [3]
The game is progressed through chapter stages, with each stage having three waves of enemies or one final boss to defeat, with interluding dialogue. [2]

Sdorica is set in the fictional continent of Vendacti where players act as Watchers, or keepers of history. It initially follows the story of Angelia, the princess of the Sun Kingdom, as she prepares to take the throne from her late father. She is joined by Naya, a security officer, Pang, a traveler from the East Alliance, and Tica, a Rune Academy student. After meeting with Chieftain Crushfang and Dagger, two bears ruling nearby caves, Angelia is kidnapped and rescued by Naya and another officer, Sione, and goes into hiding in the Slums. Tica meets a girl named Leah while on a mission for the Rune Academy and they work together to find a magical seed. In the Slums, Angelia and Naya meet and Nigel and Hyacinth, as well as Lio, Leah's twin brother. They fight off void monsters, where Hyacinth is bitten and dies of her wounds. After receiving intelligence from Yamatsuki, a friend of Nigel, he finds out Angelia's real identity as the princess and confronts her over the current king, Theodore and his plans to make a flying castle, and they plan to head to the desert. Dagger meets Roger, Kittyeyes, and Nolva, and they head to a doctor to treat the void disease that Roger has. Aosta, the doctor, is able to treat Roger, and they stay in a nearby village. Pang enters Maple Lake and meets Yan-Bo, who he asks to train with. Yan-Bo declines, and Pang confronts his past indecisions by stopping Hestia and Karnulla from killing each other.
In the initial release of Sdorica, ten people had worked on the scripting of both main and side storylines. [4] Continuous updates expanded both gameplay mechanics and the main storyline, with there being three seasons released as of September 2020 [update] . [5]
The game was teased in December 2015 and released a soft launch in September 2017. It was formally released on April 19, 2018, with a pre-registration campaign offering in-game bonuses. [6]
Harry Slater of Pocket Gamer described Sdorica as a complex "match-stuff RPG" and praised the amount of strategy involved, giving the initial release a 4/5. At the same time, he found the tutorials to come with a steep learning curve and commented on the possibility of turning away more casual players. [7] Arjun Sha of Beebom found the game to be similar to Genshin Impact in regards to the depth of story, complexity of gameplay, and character amounts. He found it to be less "graphically rich" than similar gacha games and RPGs, but still interesting and engaging. [8] Christine Chan from App Advice gave the game an overall rating of 9.8/10, highly recommending the game to others. She found the UI to be crowded and sometimes slow, but thought that the soundtrack and voice acting was immersive and matched the theme of Sdorica. [2] Waverly from Paste highlighted the storytelling of the game, praising the presence of both emotional narrative and themes. They did not offer commentary on gameplay, stating "I don't really care much for the gameplay of Sdorica". [9]
Sdorica has been featured in multiple cross-game events with other Rayark games. Music from Sdorica was added to Cytus II and in-game events in Sdorica have included crossovers with Deemo and Mandora. [10] [11] [12]
Crystar is an action role-playing game developed by Gemdrops and published by FuRyu. The game was released for PlayStation 4 in October 2018 in Japan, and internationally by Spike Chunsoft in August 2019 with an additional Microsoft Windows version. A port for the Nintendo Switch was released in Japan in February 2022, and worldwide by NIS America later that year.
Cytus is a collection of rhythm games developed by Taiwanese game developer Rayark. The original Cytus rhythm game was first released on the iOS platform on 12 January 2012. The game was later released on Android on 7 August 2012. A port for PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Mobile, titled Cytus: Lambda, was released on 26 June 2013. An arcade version titled Cytus: Omega in collaboration with Capcom was revealed at JAEPO in February 2015 and was set for location testing in July 2015, but was ultimately canceled on 30 March 2018. A sequel game, Cytus II, was released on 18 January 2018, for iOS and March 2018 for Android. A remake called Cytus Alpha was also released for the Nintendo Switch on 25 April 2019.
Deemo is a rhythm video game developed by Taiwanese game developer Rayark. The game was released on iOS and Android mobile platforms on 13 November 2013. An enhanced port for the PlayStation Vita, titled Deemo: Last Recital, first announced late 2014, was released in June 2015. A Nintendo Switch port was released worldwide in September 2017. A remake of the entire game in 3D, titled Deemo -REBORN-, was announced in October 2017 for PlayStation 4 with PlayStation VR compatibility, and was released on 21 November 2019. A PC port was released on 4 September 2020, and a mobile port for Android and iOS was announced on 23 November 2020. On 13 January 2022, Rayark announced the release of its sequel Deemo II.

Detention is a horror adventure video game created and developed by Taiwanese game developer Red Candle Games for Steam. It is a 2D atmospheric horror side-scroller set in the 1960s Taiwan under martial law. The game also incorporates religious elements based on Taiwanese culture and mythology. The game was released on 13 January 2017. A demo version was released on Steam Greenlight on 13 June 2016.

Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2 is a role-playing video game developed and published by Sega for iOS and Android. It is part of Atlus' Shin Megami Tensei (SMT) series, which in turn is part of the larger Megami Tensei franchise. The plot follows a player-customised character who battles demons with a smartphone app. The game was presented in the 2017's Tokyo Game Show by SEGA and Atlus. It was initially released in January 2018, in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, and later released worldwide. A mode similar to Pokémon Go was later added after the game's launch, showing demons in augmented reality.
Granblue Fantasy Versus is a 2.5D fighting game developed by Arc System Works for the PlayStation 4. It is based on the role-playing video game Granblue Fantasy, and was released in Japan and Asia by Cygames and Sega, respectively on February 6, 2020, and in the west by Xseed Games and Marvelous Europe in March. A Windows version was released worldwide on March 13 in the same year. A sequel, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, was released on December 14, 2023.

Nier Reincarnation is a 2021 role-playing video game developed by Applibot and published by Square Enix for Android and iOS devices. The game is a sequel to Nier, forming part of the wider Drakengard series. Eggy Party iis a Casual game, Battle royale game ,Racing game developed by NetEase. It was released in beta On May 27, 2022,and it was launched on Androidand iOS platforms and launched in Chinese Mainland, and then on June 30, 2023 in Taiwan. The game includes various competitive gameplay and incorporates some anime styles. Free-to-play and Loot box. Though the game was developed on a low budget, it was an unexpected success, reaching 30 million daily users, and was the most downloaded game app in China at one point in 2023.
