Sebastian Ernst (born 11 October 1984 in Gelsenkirchen) is a German sprinter who specializes in the 200 metres. His personal best time is 20.36 seconds, achieved during the heats at the 2004 Summer Olympics. This ranks him third among German 200m sprinters, only behind Tobias Unger and Frank Emmelmann. [1] Ernst has represented the sports team TV Wattenscheid 01 and Schalke 04 domestically.
As a junior, he finished sixth at the 2002 World Junior Championships. The following year he took the 200 m title at the 2003 European Athletics Junior Championships, as well as winning a silver medal in the relay. [2] He made his senior international debut the following year at the 2004 IAAF World Indoor Championships, where he narrowly missed a spot in the 200 m finals. [3] An Olympic debut came later that season for the nineteen-year-old and, after running a personal best of 20.36 seconds in the heats, he was eliminated in the semi-finals as the fastest non-qualifier. His 2005 season was highlighted by a 200 m and 4 × 100 metres relay silver medal double at the 2005 European Athletics U23 Championships. [5] He also made his first appearance at the World Championships in Athletics that year, but was eliminated in the quarter-finals. He began the following year by helping Germany to third in the Swedish medley relay at the 2006 European Athletics Indoor Cup. [6] He claimed his first national title with a win at the German Athletics Championships and represented his country in the event at the 2006 European Athletics Championships, reaching the semi-finals. In the relay event, he finished fifth with teammates Alexander Kosenkow, Marius Broening and Ronny Ostwald.
He was the bronze medallist over 200 m at the 2010 European Team Championships but was runner-up to Daniel Schnelting at the 2010 German Athletics Championships the following month. He came close to a personal best in July, running 20.38 seconds in Mannheim, but faltered at the 2010 European Athletics Championships, coming last in his semi-final. He broke the German indoor record for the 200 m with a time of 20.42 seconds, which he achieved at the 2011 German Indoor Athletics Championships. [7]

Muriel Hurtis-Houairi is a French track and field athlete. She came to prominence in 2002 when she won the 200 m gold medals at both the European Indoor Championships and the European Athletics Championships. The following year she added the World Indoor title and won a bronze medal at the 2003 World Championships in Athletics and a gold in the 4×100 metres relay with France.
Harry Leslie Aikines-Aryeetey is an English sprinter. A prodigious junior runner, in 2005 he was named as the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year and the IAAF's Rising Star of the Year after becoming the first athlete to win gold medals at both 100 metres and 200 metres at the World Youth Championships.
Churandy Thomas Martina is a Dutch sprinter. He originally placed second in the 200 metres at the 2008 Beijing Olympics but was later disqualified due to a lane violation. Martina secured four and two individual top-five finishes at the Summer Olympics and World Athletics Championships respectively. He was the 100 metres 2007 Pan American Games champion representing the Netherlands Antilles and claimed three individual titles at the Central American and Caribbean Games. He won gold medals in the 200 m and 100 m at the 2012 and 2016 European Athletics Championships respectively.
Aleksandr Borisovich Goremykin, also known as Aleksandr Sokolov, is a Soviet-Russian former track and field sprinter who specialized in the 200 metres. He competed at two editions of the World Championships in Athletics: first for the Soviet Union in 1991, where he placed eighth in the 200 m final and seventh in the 4 × 100 metres relay with the Soviet team, then at the 1995 World Championships in Athletics for Russia, where he ran in qualifying only individually and in the relay. He set his 200 m personal best at the 1991 championships, running 20.36 seconds in the quarter-finals.
Jérôme Éyana is a French sprinter who specializes in the 100 metres and 60 metres. He competed in the men's 4 × 100 metres relay at the 2000 Summer Olympics.
Walter Dix is a retired American sprinter who specialized in the 100 meters and 200 meters. He is the sixth-fastest 200-meter runner ever with a best of 19.53 seconds, and has broken the 10-second barrier in the 100 meters, with a best of 9.88 (9.80w) seconds. He was the only track athlete from USA to win 2 individual Olympic medals in Beijing.

Michael Mathieu is a retired Bahamian sprinter from Freeport, Grand Bahama who specialized in the 200 metres and 400 metres. He was part of the Bahamian silver medal-winning team in the men's 4×400 metres relay at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, running second leg and recording a 44.0 split, and the gold medal-winning team at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He was also a part of second place relay team at the 2007 World Championships. He won the bronze medal in the 4x400 metres relay in the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Christophe Lemaitre is a French sprinter who specialises in the 100 and 200 metres. In 2010, Lemaitre became the first white athlete to break the 10-second barrier in an officially timed 100 m event. Lemaitre has run a sub-10 second 100m on seven occasions: three times in 2010 and four times in 2011. He won a bronze medal in the 4 × 100 m relay at the 2012 London Olympic Games and in the 200 metres at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics.

Richard Kilty is a British sprinter who competes both Indoor and Outdoor across all the sprint events including 60 metres, 100 metres,150 metres, and 200 metres. A noted fast starter, and considered a specialist in both 60 metres and relays, he is a former World and double European Champion indoors at 60 metres, and a silver medalist in the World Athletics Championships. On 18 February 2022 it was announced that Kilty and his teammates Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake, Zharnel Hughes, and CJ Ujah would be stripped of their 4 × 100 metres relay 2020 Summer Olympics silver medals after Court of Arbitration for Sport found CJ Ujah guilty of a doping violation.
Warren Weir is a retired Jamaican sprinter, who specialized in the 200 metres. He was the bronze medallist in the event at the 2012 London Olympics, helping Jamaica sweep the medals. In 2013 at the Moscow World Championships, Warren Weir won the silver medal equalling his personal best. He finished behind Usain Bolt who set a World Leading time. His personal best is 19.79 seconds set at the National Stadium in his home country Kingston, Jamaica. He has since equalled his personal best in Moscow, in the World Championship final. He trained with the Glen Mills-coached Racers Track Club, alongside Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake.
Jakub Krzewina is a Polish track and field sprinter who specialises in the 400 metres. A frequent competitor for Poland in the 4×400 metres relay, he has won two medals at the European Athletics Championships and reached the final at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He was also a relay silver medallist with Europe at the 2014 IAAF Continental Cup.
Ejowvokoghene Divine Oduduru is a Nigerian sprinter specializing in the 100-meter and 200-meter dash. He holds personal bests of 9.86 seconds for the 100 m and 19.73 seconds for the 200 m. The latter is a Nigerian national record.

He was the 60 m silver medallist at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 2015. He has also won medals with the 4×100 metres relay team. He is a five-time German champion over 60 m.
