The secretary of budget and management (Filipino: Kalihim ng Pagbabadyet at Pamamahala) is the head of the Department of Budget and Management and is a member of the president's Cabinet.
The current secretary is Wendel Avisado. He replaced DBM officer-in-charge (OIC) undersecretary Janet Abuel, who has been designated to head the agency from March 5 to August 5, 2019 after the appointment of two-time budget secretary Benjamin Diokno as governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. [1] Diokno replaced Nestor Espenilla Jr., who died after fighting tongue cancer on February 23, 2019. [2]
The department has four undersecretaries and four assistant secretaries.

The Department of Justice is under the executive department of the Philippine government responsible for upholding the rule of law in the Philippines. Benjamin Estoista Diokno is a Filipino economist serving as the governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and ex officio chairman of the Anti-Money Laundering Council since 2019. He previously served as Secretary of Budget and Management under President Rodrigo Duterte from 2016 to 2019, and under President Joseph Estrada from 1998 until the latter's ouster in 2001. He also served as undersecretary for Budget Operations of the Department of Budget and Management from 1986 to 1991 under President Corazon Aquino. On March 4, 2019, President Duterte appointed him as the fifth governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). He will serve the unexpired term of the late BSP governor Nestor Espenilla Jr. which will end in July 2023.

Wendel Eliot Avisado is a Filipino politician who is the incumbent Secretary of Budget and Management of the Philippines. He was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte on August 5, 2019, succeeding Undersecretary Janet B. Abuel, who served as the DBM's Officer-in-Charge (OIC) following the appointment of former Secretary Benjamin E. Diokno as Governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Besides having a long and distinguished career in government service, he is an active member of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines. He previously served as National President of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines from 2017 to 2019 and an ex-officio member of the National Executive Board.
Janet Braganza Abuel is a Filipino lawyer, accountant and public servant who, on March to August 2019, was acting secretary of the Department of Budget and Management following the appointment of former-Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
