Seema Jaswal (born 28 January 1985) is a British television and radio sports presenter widely recognised as one of the leading voices in sports broadcasting. She has presented high-profile football, snooker, and multi-sport broadcasts across major networks including ITV Sport, BBC Sport, DAZN, CBS Sports, Star Sports and Premier League Productions. Jaswal has hosted coverage of FIFA World Cup, UEFA European Championships, UEFA Champions League, Premier League global coverage, BBC Sport's snooker Triple Crown events, Commonwealth Games, and the UEFA Women's Champions League. She received the Broadcaster of the Year award in 2025 and is notable for advancing female and ethnically diverse representation in sports media. [1]
Jaswal was born and raised in Richmond upon Thames, London, and is of Ugandan heritage. She attended Grey Court School, Richmond upon Thames College, and Royal Holloway, University of London, where she studied Sociology and Politics. [2]
Jaswal entered the media industry working behind the scenes at Sky Sports and later transitioned to on-camera presenting. She appeared on children’s and mainstream television including CBBC’s Sportsround , Match of the Day Kickabout , and The Wright Stuff on Channel 5. [3] [4] She also spent a period in India presenting for Star Sports on the Indian Super League and football show Lets Talk Football, and later hosted the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup for Sony Six in Mumbai. Since 2019, Jaswal has been a regular presenter for Premier League Productions (PLP), hosting flagship shows such as Kick Off and Fanzone, reaching global audiences. [7] She has fronted coverage of FIFA World Cup (2018, 2022), Euro 2020, Euro 2025, UEFA Women’s Champions League Final (2022–23), UEFA Champions League for BT Sport, FA Cup for ITV Sport, and Premier League for Amazon Prime Video. She has also presented the Women’s World Cup 2023, Women’s Euro 2025 for ITV, and Lionesses’ Nations League coverage. At the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, she became the first woman to present a men’s World Cup quarter-final for a UK broadcaster, hosting ITV’s coverage of Morocco vs Portugal and leading the first all-female on-screen panel. Jaswal hosted the DAZN coverage of the 2025 Women’s World Sevens football tournament in Lisbon and Miami. [11]
