The Selangor Islamic University (Malay : 'Universiti Islam Selangor') also known as UIS is a private university located in Bandar Seri Putra, Bangi, Selangor. The university was formerly a university college, before upgraded to a full-fledged university on 13 October 2022. The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, had presented the official instrument of the change to Higher Education Ministry secretary-general Abdul Razak Jaafar at Istana Bukit Kayangan. [1] [2] The university moved to its current location in 2000, when the new campus was officially opened by Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) is the law faculty of International Islamic University Malaysia. Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin is the 18th public institution of higher learning, located in the state of Terengganu, Malaysia. The university is a creature of the Act of Parliament known as the Universities and University Colleges Act 1971, with its constitution laid down under the Universities and University Colleges (Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin) Order 2010. It is the first full-fledged university in the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia and the first university to be based on the “cluster” concept. It is also the first university in Malaysia to be modelled after University of London, United Kingdom.

Haji Ashaari Mohammad was the leader of the Malaysian-based Islamic religious sect Al-Arqam. The sect was banned by in Malaysia by the federal government on 21 October 1994. He and other Al-Arqam members were arrested in Thailand, returned to Malaysia and detained under Internal Security Act (ISA). He had been detained from 1994 to 2004. He was forced to admit his wrong doings and denied the rights to defend himself.

Sekolah Menengah Agama Persekutuan Labu or formerly Sekolah Menengah Agama Wilayah Persekutuan (SMAWP) is one of the three federal-funded Islamic Religious secondary boarding schools in Malaysia and is in Labu, one of the small towns in north Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. The school used to be located in Klang (1982) and Petaling Jaya (1983–87), Selangor and named Sekolah Menengah Agama Wilayah Persekutuan, before it moved to Labu in 1987. The school is known as one of the Sekolah Kluster Kecemerlangan and Sekolah Berprestasi Tinggi.

The Prime Minister's Department is a federal government ministry in Malaysia. Its objective is "determining the services of all divisions are implemented according to policy, legislation / regulations and current guidelines". It is headed by the Prime Minister of Malaysia followed by other Minister in the Prime Minister's Department. Dato’ Eddin Syazlee bin Shith is a Malaysian politician who served as Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Economic Affairs in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and former Minister Mustapa Mohamed from August 2021 to November 2022. He served as the Deputy Minister of Works in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former Minister Fadillah Yusof from July 2020 to August 2021 and Member of Parliament (MP) for Kuala Pilah from May 2018 to November 2022. He briefly served as the Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Parliament and Law in the PN administration under Muhyiddin and former Minister Takiyuddin Hassan from March 2020 to July 2020. He also served as the Deputy Minister of Communications and Multimedia in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration under former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad and former Minister Saifuddin Abdullah from July 2018 to February 2020. He is a member and the State Chairman of Negeri Sembilan of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), a component party of the PN and formerly PH coalitions.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Saggaf bin Muhammad Aljufri</span> Indonesian Islamic scholar (1937–2021)

Habib Sayyid Saggaf bin Muhammad Aljufri, M.A. was an Indonesian Islamic scholar from Palu who was born in Pekalongan. He was one of the respected people among the society and was often visited by state officials to discuss religious and national issues. Public figures visited him especially when Alkhairaat held a ceremonial to remember the death (haul) of Habib Sayyid Idrus bin Salim al-Jufri or commonly known among the public as "Guru Tua". Like on 1 September 2012, when on 44th ceremonial to remember the death of Guru Tua, Minister of Religion Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Suryadharma Ali visited Aljufri at his residence in Palu and discussing the matter of the Islamic flow of Sunni and Shia, Aljufri welcomed him kindly. The discussion occurred after problems arose regarding the conflict between Sunni and Shiite Islam after the clash which killed a resident in Sampang Regency, Madura Island. In addition to frequent dialogue with Sunni figures, Aljufri also often discussed with several Shia figures, even he received several visits of Shiite figures at his residence.

Raja Perempuan Tengku Anis binti Almarhum Tengku Abdul Hamid is the former Raja Perempuan of Kelantan. She is the widow of Sultan Ismail Petra and the mother of Sultan Muhammad V. As a Queen dowager, she is now styled as Yang Maha Mulia Raja Perempuan Tengku Anis.

Dr. Mohamed Ghazali bin Abdul Rashid or better known by his pen name Malim Ghozali PK was a Malaysian writer and laureate from Perak. He was crowned as the Sasterawan Perak in 2014. He authored a variety of literary works such as Novels and short stories. He also received numerous awards including the Southeast Asian Writers Award in 2013.

Mohd Na'im bin Mokhtar is a Malaysian politician, lawyer and legal scholar who has served as Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Religious Affairs in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim as well as Senator since December 2022. He served as 4th Chief Judge of the Syariah Court from April 2019 to his appointment as a minister in December 2022. He is presently the sole independent minister.
