The Selangor Islamic University (UIS; Malay : 'Universiti Islam Selangor') is a private university located in Bandar Seri Putra, Bangi, Selangor. The university was formerly a university college, before upgraded to a full-fledged university on 13 October 2022. The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, had presented the official instrument of the change to Higher Education Ministry secretary-general Abdul Razak Jaafar at Istana Bukit Kayangan. [1] [2] The university moved to its current location in 2000, when the new campus was officially opened by Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

He and other Al-Arqam members were arrested in Thailand, returned to Malaysia and detained under Internal Security Act (ISA). He had been detained from 1994 to 2004. He was forced to admit his wrong doings and denied the rights to defend himself.

The school used to be located in Klang (1982) and Petaling Jaya (1983–87), Selangor and named Sekolah Menengah Agama Wilayah Persekutuan, before it moved to Labu in 1987.
