Michael Herman Michaud is an American businessman and politician from Maine. Michaud served as the U.S. representative for Maine's 2nd congressional district from 2003 to 2015. He is a member of the Democratic Party. The primarily rural district comprises nearly 80% of the state by area and includes the cities of Lewiston,Auburn,Bangor,Presque Isle,and Ellsworth. It is the largest Congressional district by area east of the Mississippi River.

David Howard Senjem is an American politician currently serving on the Olmsted County Board of Commissioners. He is a former member of the Minnesota Senate,in that office from 2003 to 2023. Giessel returned to the Alaska Senate in 2023,representing the newly configured District E after defeating incumbent Republican Roger Holland. She will serve as Senate majority leader in the 33rd Legislature,overseeing a coalition caucus of eight Republicans and nine Democrats.

He is co-chair of Maine Solutions,a consensus-building training and facilitation group for legislators and public officials. He helped to develop the Midcoast Leadership Academy,which offered classes in leadership development. He was appointed to and has served on the Joint Select Committee on Research,Development,and the Innovation Economy in the summer of 2006 the Joint Select Committee on Prosperity in the summer of 2007,and the Joint Select Committee on Maine's Energy Future in the winter of 2009.
