Seven Sleepers is a Japan-only EP by the British rock band Feeder. It was the first ever release by the band after their label Echo, was downstreamed into a copyrights exploitation company and as a result announced that they would not be releasing any new records or signing any new artists. This meant that Feeder were without a UK record label and that for the duration of being unsigned in the UK, they could not release any material in their home country.
Before the band's 2008 winter tour, there were plans to release a tour-only EP which would be available at merchandise stalls at the venues the band would be playing. In 2007, the band entered the Crypt, a studio in northern London, to record their sixth studio album, Silent Cry; at the same time, Echo were up for sale and were in financial trouble, and would not release the album until a buyer was found. With EMI offering a price that was too low for the label, and many delays in the album already having been caused, Echo decided to release the album with hopes that it would bring the label back afloat, after the commercial success achieved with Feeder's previous release The Singles. However, with BBC Radio 1 not playing its first single "We Are the People" and a relatively low chart placing for the single at #25, alongside the album having very little promotion due to Echo's financial worries, the album quickly dropped out of the top 75 weekly album listing, despite an unexpected chart entry at #8 due to a lack of commercial pre-release awareness.
Amongst the recordings for the album were a series of tracks that did not make the final cut, and were used as b-sides for "We Are the People" and other singles that were due to be released. However, due to the album's underwhelming sales, no more singles containing those tracks were released, meaning that the planned b-sides were locked in the vaults. Later on in the year, the band planned to self-release a tour EP, and included a few new songs for it, with those being "Seven Sleepers" and "Snowblind", meaning that they would be exclusive to the release. However, due to contract laws meaning that they were still under Echo, this never materialised.
The following year, the band were still signed to their Japanese label Victor, meaning that they could still release the tracks over there anyway. Echo also decided not to claim ownership of the new tracks, with only Victor doing so. As a result, this became Feeder's first ever release not to have any release involvement from the label, with no Echo imprint appearing on the inlay and the obi strip. The EP was then completed, with a series of already released tracks making the total up to six.

An extended play (EP) is a musical recording that contains more tracks than a single but fewer than an album or LP record. Contemporary EPs generally contain four to five tracks, and are considered "less expensive and time-consuming" for an artist to produce than an album. An EP originally referred to specific types of records other than 78 rpm standard play (SP) and LP, but it is now applied to mid-length CDs and downloads as well. In K-pop they are usually referred to as mini albums. Ricardo Baca of The Denver Post said, "EPs—originally extended-play 'single' releases that are shorter than traditional albums—have long been popular with punk and indie bands." In the United Kingdom, the Official Chart Company defines a boundary between EP and album classification at 25 minutes of maximum length and no more than four tracks.

Revis is an American post-grunge band from Carbondale, Illinois. They released one major label album, Places for Breathing, in 2003 before disbanding in 2005. After a five-year hiatus, the band reformed in 2010 and began work on a follow-up EP, Fire and Ice. The sessions were so prolific that the project turned into a full album release with a new name, now titled Do We Have to Beg?. The album was completed and scheduled for release on May 20, 2011, however, "legal issues" and internal disagreements with their record label kept them from releasing the album, quietly delaying it days before release. The band initially announced plans to re-record the entire album without the help of a label, but after a quiet year with few updates, the band announced they had broken up in May 2012, without any plans on releasing the album outside of a few songs that had been released previously for promotional purposes. Their best known song is "Caught in the Rain" which peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart in 2003 after appearing on the soundtrack of the film Daredevil.
Echo Park is the third studio album by Welsh rock band Feeder. It was their first album since 1999's Yesterday Went Too Soon. The album was recorded at Great Linford Manor in Milton Keynes during most of 2000 and was produced by Gil Norton.

"Just a Day" is a song by Feeder, released as the band's final single of 2001, notable for being their last with drummer Jon Lee. It was first released on the "Seven Days in the Sun" single as a B-side. Despite having already appeared in the top 20 earlier in the year as a B-side, the single A-side release stayed in the UK top 20 for four weeks, peaking at number 12. It also peaked at number 47 in Ireland. It instantly became a regular to end the band's live sets, but has been occasionally rested from this position for a cover of "Breed" by Nirvana, while never used as one of the "Feeder covers" at Renegades gigs. As of November 2023, "Just a Day" has total consumption figures of 400,000, allowing it to be certified Gold.
Shed Seven are an alternative rock band, formed in York in 1990. They were one of the groups which contributed to the Britpop music scene of the 1990s. They originally comprised singer Rick Witter, guitarist/keyboardist Joe Johnson, bassist Tom Gladwin and drummer Alan Leach. Johnson was later replaced by Paul Banks, although a later lineup of the band included both Johnson and Banks.
"Buck Rogers" is a song by Welsh rock band Feeder. It was the first single to be taken from their third studio album, Echo Park (2001), and was released on The Echo Label. The track reached number five on the UK Singles Chart after its release on 8 January 2001. The group had originally not intended the track to be one of theirs, as frontman and main songwriter of the band Grant Nicholas originally wrote "Buck Rogers" for SR-71, only for producer Gil Norton and A&R staff of Echo to convince the band they could have a hit with it themselves, after hearing a demo recorded by Feeder. It continues to be played on UK alternative radio stations as a classic hit of its genre. The song has been certified gold in the United Kingdom for sales and streaming figures exceeding 400,000 units, making it one of the most successful songs to be released during the Singles Chart era.

The first single, "We Are the People", preceded the album, being released on 9 June. It was their last album to feature Mark Richardson on Drums before departing in 2009.

It was the band's first compilation album, containing all of their singles, plus some album tracks, from the band's then three studio albums, Echo Park, Yesterday Went Too Soon, Polythene, as well as their EP Swim.
Renegades were a British rock band which started out as a side-project from two members of the band Feeder, featuring guitarist Grant Nicholas and bassist Taka Hirose, before becoming a pseudonym name for Feeder themselves. Nicholas formed Renegades alongside Hirose with Karl Brazil from Ben's Brother, who completed the group and a four-track EP was then recorded. Soon later, Renegades became an alternative name for Feeder at various concerts where they would play an entire show pretending not to be Feeder, but a different band with the same members. If Feeder songs released before the Renegades album were to be played, the band would announce that they're covering Feeder songs. Grant Nicholas once introduced "Tangerine" as "A cover of a song from a band we know".
Young Guns are an English alternative rock band from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. The members, working with each other in various musical interests throughout the 2000s, formally formed the band in 2008, and rose to prominence after their debut EP, Mirrors, earned them spots opening live shows for Bon Jovi and Guns N' Roses. Their debut album, All Our Kings Are Dead, on 12 July 2010. Their second album, Bones, was released in February 2012. Their single "Bones" reached no. 1 on the Billboard Active Rock charts in the US in May 2013. Their third album, Ones and Zeros, was released on 9 June 2015. The band's fourth album, Echoes, was released on 16 September 2016.
Renegades is the seventh studio album by Welsh rock band Feeder. It was released on 5 July 2010. It was the first in a proposed series of two albums to be released in 2010 by the band, before its follow-up was delayed until 2012. It is also the first studio album not to be released on The Echo Label, and also their first since 2002's Comfort In Sound not to feature drummer Mark Richardson, who left the band the previous year.
