Seven Year Setlist is a compilation album by The View, released on 17 June 2013. [1] It charted at No. 7 in the Scottish Albums chart and #59 in the UK Albums Chart.
The compilation is titled "Seven Year Setlist" because it comprises songs frequently performed in the band's concerts, with the exception of the new tracks. The songs are arranged in a similar order to the band's setlists.
The compilation features several of the band's singles mixed with a couple of album tracks which feature heavily in the band's usual setlist. The album also includes 3 brand new unheard tracks - "Kill Kyle", "Dirty Magazine", and "Standard". These new songs have been produced by Ex-Oasis producer Owen Morris. [1]
Kyle Falconer has said:
"Over the years there's been four studio albums, thousands of gigs, too much vodka and loads of memories on this crazy rock 'n' roll journey. So we wanted to create an album that was kinda like stopping and looking back over the years - with a few new tracks too. That's the Seven Year Setlist." [2]
"Standard" is the first and only single to be released from 'Seven Year Setlist', in promotion of the album. [3]

Madness are an English ska and pop band from Camden Town, North London, who formed in 1976. The Cure are an English rock band formed in 1978 in Crawley, West Sussex. Placebo are a British alternative rock band, formed in London in 1994 by vocalist–guitarist Brian Molko and bassist–guitarist Stefan Olsdal. Kaiser Chiefs are an English indie rock band from Leeds who originally formed in 1997 as Runston Parva, before reforming as Parva in 2000, and releasing one studio album, 22, in 2003, before renaming and establishing themselves in their current name that same year. Shed Seven are an alternative rock band, formed in York in 1990. They originally comprised singer Rick Witter, guitarist/keyboardist Joe Johnson, bassist Tom Gladwin and drummer Alan Leach. Johnson was later replaced by Paul Banks, although a later lineup of the band included both Johnson and Banks.

Kyle Francis Falconer is a Scottish musician, singer and songwriter. He is best known as the lead vocalist of The View. Along with the other band members, Falconer hails from the Dryburgh district of Dundee. He shares songwriting responsibilities with bass guitarist Kieren Webster.
The Script are an Irish rock band formed in 2001 in Dublin, by lead vocalist, keyboardist, guitarist Danny O'Donoghue, lead guitarist Mark Sheehan and drummer Glen Power. The band moved to London after signing to Sony Label Group imprint Phonogenic and released their first album The Script in August 2008, preceded by the debut single "We Cry" as well as other singles such as "The Man Who Can't Be Moved", "Breakeven" and "Before the Worst". Which Bitch? is the second album from Scottish band The View which was released 2 February 2009. Paolo Nutini guests on the track "Covers". "Gem of a Bird" is about Kyle Falconer's girlfriend Katie Gwyther, with whom the song is a duet.
Spector are a British indie rock band from London, composed of Frederick Macpherson, Jed Cullen (guitar), Nicolas Py (drums) and Danny Blandy. They’ve released three albums and one compilation. The band's debut album Enjoy It While It Lasts reached number 12 in the UK Albums Chart and went to number one on the Official Record Store Chart on the week of its release.
