The Shakey's V-League 11th Season: Reinforced Open Conference was the 22nd conference of Shakey's V-League which began on October 5, 2014. [1]

The Cagayan Valley Lady Rising Suns beat the Philippine Army Lady Troopers in two games. [2] In the inaugural men's division, Instituto Estetico Manila Phoenix Volley Masters defeated Systema Active Smashers in 3 games. [3] [4]

Tournament format

Preliminaries

Four (4) competing teams in both men's and women's division in a double round robin format.

Finals

Rank 1 team battles Rank 2 team for GOLD, and Rank 3 team battles Rank 4 team for BRONZE. The battle for GOLD and the battle for BRONZE will both follow the best-of-three format, provided: If the battle for GOLD ends in two (2) matches (2-0), then there will no longer be Game 3 for either GOLD or BRONZE. If, in the case, the series for BRONZE is tied (1-1), then the tie will be resolved using FIVB rules. A tie in the series for GOLD (1-1) after Game 2 will be broken in a Game 3, regardless of the results of the series in BRONZE.

The Philippine Army Lady Troopers, also known as the Black Mamba–Army Lady Troopers for sponsorship reasons, is the official women's professional volleyball team of the Philippine Army. The team is composed of enlisted personnel and reinforced with civilian players from time to time. The Lady Troopers competes in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) and has won two Shakey's V-League championships.


The PLDT Home Fibr Hitters is a professional men's volleyball team owned by PLDT. It was established in 2013 and originally consisted of men's and women's teams. In 2018, the women's team became merged with the Smart Giga Hitters. The men's team has been playing in the Spikers' Turf since October 2018.

The Shakey's V-League 11th Season: Open Conference was the 21th conference of Shakey's V-League held between June 29, 2014, to August 31, 2014. The opening ceremonies were held on June 29, 2014, with the first doubleheader of volleyball games at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan. There were eight (8) teams that competed, with the Philippine Army Lady Troopers emerging as the tournament's champion.

The 2014 PSL Grand Prix was the second tournament of the Philippine Super Liga for its 2014 season. The tournament ran from October 18, 2014 to November 30, 2014. The tournament's major sponsor was Asics. FIVB Referees Commission director Mohammed Hassan was the guest of honor of the opening ceremony held in Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

The Shakey's V-League 12th Season Open Conference was the 23rd conference of Shakey's V-League. The opening ceremony was held on April 5, 2015 with the first triple header of volleyball games at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan, Metro Manila. There were eight competing teams for this conference.

The Spikers' Turf 1st Season Open Conference is the inaugural conference of Spikers' Turf. The opening ceremony was held on April 5, 2015 with the first match of volleyball game at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan, Metro Manila. There were eight (8) competing teams in this conference.

The 2015 Spikers' Turf season was the inaugural season of the men's volleyball league Spikers' Turf, the counterpart of the women's Shakey's V-League. In 2014, the Shakey's V-League introduced a men's division during its 21st conference. The following year, Sports Vision, the organizers of the Shakey's V-League decided to spin-off the men's vision as a separate tournament, giving birth to the Spikers' Turf.

Aiza Maizo-Pontillas is a Filipina professional volleyball player. She was a former member and team captain of the UST Golden Tigresses, and a member of the Philippines women's national volleyball team. She led the España-based squad to its 16th and, as of 2018, latest championship in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) league. She was a Shakey's V-League (SVL) three-time Finals and two-time Season Most Valuable Player. Maizo is known for bagging several best-of awards in almost all volleyball skill departments in UAAP and SVL, excluding setting and digging. She is also known as the first Filipina in the entire franchise of SVL to take both Finals and Season MVP in a single conference twice.

The Shakey's V-League 12th Season Collegiate Conference was the 24th conference of Shakey's V-League. The opening ceremony was held on July 11, 2015 with the first triple header of volleyball games at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan, Metro Manila. There were twelve (12) competing teams for this conference.

The Spikers’ Turf Collegiate Conference was the 2nd conference of the Spikers' Turf men's volleyball which started on July 13, 2015 and ended on September 27, 2015 at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan. There were twelve (12) competing teams in this conference.

The Shakey's V-League was a non-professional volleyball league in the Philippines that started in 2004. It began as a women's collegiate league with teams coming from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation (CESAFI), among others. Since 2011, corporate clubs and other non-collegiate teams have also participated in the league.

The 2022 V-League Collegiate Challenge is the first conference of the V-League after it relaunched this year after six years. It is the inaugural competition of the V-League as a standalone tournament after being tied with Shakey's Pizza in the past as their title sponsor.

The Shakey's V-League 10th Season Open Conference was the nineteenth conference of the Shakey's V-League, commenced on August 18, 2013, at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan with 8 teams competing in the conference.
