K.S. Sowmya, better known by her stage name Soundarya, was an Indian actress known for her works primarily in Telugu cinema in addition to Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam films. She has received three Nandi Awards, two Karnataka State Film Awards and six Filmfare Awards South. In 2002, she received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film as a producer for the Kannada film Dweepa.
Gangaraju, professionally known as Hamsalekha, is an Indian film composer and songwriter who works in South Indian cinema, predominantly in the Kannada film industry since the late 1980s. He is also a screenplay writer, dialogue writer, instrumentalist and conductor, having composed and written over 500 albums.
Premaloka is a 1987 Indian romantic musical film directed by Ravichandran in his directorial debut and produced by N. Veeraswamy under the banner Sri Eshwari Productions. Based on the 1982 film Grease 2, the film was made simultaneously in Kannada and Tamil with the Tamil version titled Paruva Ragam. It stars Ravichandran in the lead role alongside Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla. Leelavathi and Lokesh play supportive roles in the Kannada version while Jaishankar and Manorama reprise their respective roles in the Tamil version. Vishnuvardhan, Ambareesh, Tiger Prabhakar, Srinath and Urvashi made guest appearances in the film. Thengai Srinivasan, Cho Ramaswamy and Delhi Ganesh portray the respective roles of Ambareesh, Prabhakar and Srinath in the Tamil version.
Veeraswamy Ravichandran is an Indian actor, director, producer, music director, lyricist and editor in the Kannada Film Industry. He is the son of film producer N. Veeraswamy. As producer, Ravichandran continues to run his father's production house, Sri Eswari Productions. He is popularly known as "Crazy Star", a title fans have prefixed to his name. He is famous for bringing innovations to Kannada film industry beginning with Premaloka (1987).
Dosti Dushmani is a 1986 Indian Hindi-language action drama film, produced and directed by T. Rama Rao under the Srinath Productions banner. It stars Jeetendra, Rajinikanth, Rishi Kapoor, Poonam Dhillon, Kimi Katkar and Bhanupriya, with music composed by Laxmikant–Pyarelal. The film was a remake of 1977 Tamil film Chakravarthy which was also remade later in Telugu as Mugguru Mithrulu (1985) and later in Kannada as Brahma Vishnu Maheshwara (1988). It marked Bhanupriya's Bollywood film debut.
Meri Adalat is a 1984 Hindi film directed by A. T. Raghu. The film was a revenge drama featuring Rajinikanth in the lead, supported by Zeenat Aman, Mohnish Behl, Sonia Sahni and Komal Mahuakar. The song Gudiya Jaisi Behna Hai, sung by K. J. Yesudas was a big hit. The movie was dubbed in Tamil as Veetukku Oru Nallavan, It is a remake of director's own Kannada movie Aasha (1983) starring Ambareesh. This movie went on to inspire the 1991 Kannada movie Garuda Dhwaja also starring Ambareesh. The film flopped.
Saranya Mohan is an Indian former actress, who predominantly appeared in Malayalam and Tamil films. She has also acted in a few Telugu, Kannada and Hindi films. She is best known for her performances in Yaaradi Nee Mohini (2008), Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu (2009), Eeram (2009), Velayudham (2011) and Osthe (2011).
Anjada Gandu is a 1988 Indian Kannada-language romantic comedy film produced by B N Gangadhar under the banner of ANS Productions and written and directed by Renuka Sharma. The film stars Ravichandran and Khushbu in the lead roles along with Thoogudeepa Srinivas, Doddanna and Mukhyamantri Chandru in supporting roles. It is a remake of the 1984 Tamil film Thambikku Entha Ooru.
Nattukku Oru Nallavan is the Tamil version of the 1991 Kannada action film Shanti Kranti written, produced and directed by V. Ravichandran and also produced by N. Veersamai. The film stars Rajinikanth and Juhi Chawla.
Ranadheera is a 1988 Indian Kannada language musical action film starring Ravichandran and Khushbu. Directed by Ravichandran himself, the film was produced by his father N. Veeraswamy under Eshwari Productions. Khushbu gained popularity in Karnataka through this film. The music was composed by Hamsalekha.
Sipayi is a 1996 Kannada-language action film, directed and produced by V. Ravichandran. The film stars Ravichandran and Soundarya in lead roles with Telugu actor Chiranjeevi appearing in an important role. Music and lyrics were composed by Hamsalekha. The movie was later dubbed in Telugu as Major, and released on 5 December 1998. It was also dubbed in Tamil.
Mangalyam Tantunanena is a 1998 Indian Kannada language romantic drama film directed by V. S. Reddy and produced by Allu Aravind. The film stars Ravichandran along with Ramya Krishna and S. P. Balasubrahmanyam among others.
Yaare Neenu Cheluve is a 1998 Indian Kannada-language romantic drama film directed by D. Rajendra Babu and produced by Rockline Venkatesh. The film stars Ravichandran, Sangita and Heera Rajagopal. Popular actors such as Vishnuvardhan, Ramesh Aravind, Jaggesh and Prakash Raj are seen in special appearances in the film.
Vicky Daada is a 1989 Telugu-language crime film produced by D. Sivaprasad Reddy under the Kamakshi Art Movies banner, directed by A. Kodandarami Reddy. It stars Nagarjuna, Radha, Juhi Chawla and music composed by Raj–Koti. The film was dubbed into Hindi with the same title.
Karpoorada Gombe is a 1996 Indian Kannada language romantic drama film directed and written by S. Mahendar. The film stars Ramesh Aravind, Shruti and Shwetha in the lead roles and featured music composed by Hamsalekha. Actor Sharan made his debut with this film. The film was dubbed and released in Tamil as Akka by R. B. Choudary with added comedy track of Vadivelu and Chinni Jayanth. The film was remade in Telugu as Seetakka with Vinod Kumar and Aamani.
Nagappa Veeraswamy was Indian film producer and distributor, who produced under the house, Sri Eswari Productions. He produced 17 Kannada films and one Hindi film, from the early 1970s till his death in 1992. He is the father of Kannada film star and director V. Ravichandran.

Shanti Kranti is the Telugu version of the 1991 Kannada crime film of the same title produced and directed by V. Ravichandran under his Eshwari Productions banner. It stars Nagarjuna, V. Ravichandran, Juhi Chawla, Khushbu and music composed by Hamsalekha. The film is a multilingual film simultaneously shot in Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil, in which Akkineni Nagarjuna was the lead in the Telugu version, Rajinikanth in the Tamil version, while V. Ravichandran was in the Kannada version, most of the scenes and artists are the same in all versions. All the versions failed at box-office.
Pushpaka Vimana is a 2017, Indian Kannada drama film directed by S. Ravindranath, making his debut. The film stars Ramesh Aravind, acting in his 100th Kannada film, as the protagonist playing the father role. Rachita Ram and Baby Yuvina Parthavi play the daughters role. Prominent Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla is seen in a song sequence, marking her re-entry to Kannada films after 18 years. The film's title is borrowed from the 1987 silent film of the same name.
