Shattered Haven is a survival puzzle adventure video game created and published by Arcen Games, initially developed under the name Alden Ridge. [1] The plot is set in a Lovecraftian post-apocalypse, where the player must navigate branching storylines to protect a small family from zombies (called "grays" in the game), limited resources, and impassible terrain. Each level is a fully contained puzzle, and the player must use only the resources contained in that level to complete the objective. [2] [3] [4]

Plants vs. Zombies is a 2009 tower defense video game developed and published by PopCap Games. First released for Windows and Mac OS X, the game has since been ported to consoles, handhelds, and mobile devices. The player takes the role of a homeowner amid a zombie apocalypse. As a horde of zombies approaches along several parallel lanes, the player must defend the home by putting down plants, which fire projectiles at the zombies or otherwise detrimentally affect them. The player collects a currency called sun to buy plants. If a zombie makes it to the house on any lane, the player loses and must restart the level.
No More Room in Hell is a cooperative first person survival horror video game, created by Matt "Maxx" Kazan and initially developed as a modification on Valve's Source game engine. Set in a zombie apocalypse, the player assumes the role of one of eight remaining survivors, with a focus on co-operation and survival. The game can be played through "Objective" or "Survival" mode. It is heavily inspired by George Romero's Living Dead series, with the title being a reference to Dawn of the Dead, specifically the line "When there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth.", and some characters being references to other films such as American Psycho and The Big Lebowski.

ZombiU is a first-person survival horror video game developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and published by Ubisoft. It was released for the Wii U as one of its launch games in November 2012. In the game, the player assumes control of a human survivor amid a 2012 zombie apocalypse. Featuring a permadeath system, it uses the Wii U GamePad extensively to scan the environment and maintain the survivor's inventory. The game was released under the name Zombi for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2015. The port, handled by Straight Right, adds new melee weapons and removes the multiplayer feature.
DayZ is a multiplayer open world survival third-person shooter modification designed by Dean Hall for the 2009 tactical shooter video game ARMA 2 and its 2010 expansion pack, ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead. The mod places the player in the fictional post-Soviet state of Chernarus, where a mysterious plague has infected most of the population, turning people into violent zombies. As a survivor with limited resources, the player must scavenge the world for supplies such as food, water, weapons and medicine, while killing or avoiding both zombies and other players, and sometimes non-player characters, in an effort to survive the zombie apocalypse.
Contagion is a survival horror first-person shooter video game, developed and published for PC by American independent studio Monochrome. It is the spiritual successor to Zombie Panic! Source. The game was mostly self-funded of its development, but with the support of others via a successful Kickstarter campaign, it was able to be released on Steam as an Early Access title. Contagion released on October 25, 2013 as a Steam Early Access title and was published as full release on April 11, 2014.
Unturned is a free-to-play survival game by Smartly Dressed Games, a studio consisting solely of Canadian game designer Nelson Sexton. It was released for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux in July 2017. Unturned allows players to create custom maps using an in-game editor, cosmetics and mods can also be created using the game's engine Unity, and allows them to publish these creations on the Steam Workshop. A paid version of the game was released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One by 505 Games in November 2020.

The player controls a mech housing a severed head of an alien hydra, shooting through the levels of a procedurally generated prison tower lodged in the surface of a star.

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions were published by BlitWorks on July 1, 2019.
