Mr. Bungle is an American experimental band from Northern California, United States. Having gone through many incarnations throughout their career, the band is best known for their experimental rock period. During this time, they featured a highly eclectic style, cycling through several musical genres within the course of a single song, including heavy metal, avant-garde jazz, ska, disco, and funk. This period also saw the band utilizing unconventional song structures and samples; playing a wide array of instruments; dressing up in masks, jumpsuits, and other costumes; and performing a diverse selection of cover songs during live performances.
Fantômas is an American metal supergroup, formed in 1998 in California. It features vocalist Mike Patton, drummer Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer), guitarist Buzz Osborne (Melvins) and bassist Trevor Dunn. The band is named after Fantômas, a supervillain featured in a series of crime novels popular in France before World War I and in film, most notably in the 60s French movie series.
Merzbox is a box set compilation by the Japanese noise musician Merzbow. It consists of 50 CDs spanning Merzbow's career from 1979 to 1997. 30 discs are taken from long out of print releases, while 20 are composed mainly of unreleased material. The box also contains two CD-ROMs, six CD-sized round cards, six round stickers, a poster, a black long-sleeve T-shirt, a medallion, and the Merzbook, all packaged together in a "fetish" black rubber box. It is limited to 1000 numbered copies. A Merzbox Sampler was released in 1997.

Collection 004 is an album by the Japanese noise musician Merzbow. It is the fourth volume of the Collection series. The first five volumes were recorded for Ylem and consist of studio sessions with Kiyoshi Mizutani, then a member of Merzbow. However, Ylem went out of business before they could be released. Masami Akita then released them himself and recorded five more at home using previous Collection session recordings mixed with new material and effects.

Duo, subtitled Masami Akita & Kiyoshi Mizutani Selected Studio Sessions 1987–89, is a box set album by the Japanese noise project Merzbow. It is composed of unreleased studio sessions recorded with Kiyoshi Mizutani. Some of these recordings were used as raw material for solo releases like Scissors for Cutting Merzbow, but the original recordings were unreleased until now. These recordings mirror albums like Ecobondage, Enclosure, and Storage. The art edition comes with a bonus CD with a recording from 1979.
Cuts is collaborative studio album by the Japanese noise musician Merzbow, Hungarian drummer Balázs Pándi, and Swedish saxophonist Mats Gustafsson. It was recorded during a stop on the trio's East European tour in April 2012. The album was followed up in January 2015 by Live in Tabačka 13/04/12, which was recorded live the day before Cuts in Slovakia. Cuts of Guilt, Cuts Deeper, a studio album recorded with the addition of Thurston Moore, was released in March 2015.
Full of Hell & Merzbow is a collaborative studio album between the American grindcore band Full of Hell and the Japanese noise artist Merzbow. The album was released on November 24, 2014 through Profound Lore Records. The CD version of the album was also packaged with a five-song, 35-minute bonus disc titled Sister Fawn that was described as an "extension" of Full of Hell & Merzbow; it was later released in a digital format as well.

Cuts of Guilt, Cuts Deeper is a collaborative studio album by the Japanese noise musician Merzbow, Swedish saxophonist Mats Gustafsson, Hungarian drummer Balázs Pándi, and American guitarist Thurston Moore. Merzbow, Gustafsson, and Pándi have frequently played together as a trio, and released the album Cuts in 2013. Merzbow and Gustafsson also played together with Moore on the Sonic Youth album SYR8: Andre Sider Af Sonic Youth.
An Untroublesome Defencelessness is a collaborative studio album by the Japanese noise musician Merzbow, Japanese guitarist Keiji Haino, and the Hungarian drummer Balázs Pándi. Merzbow and Pándi have worked together since 2009; Merzbow and Haino previously played together as Kikuri, and released the album Pulverized Purple on Les Disques Victo in 2008.
Wildwood II is a studio album by the Japanese noise musician Merzbow. It was released on February 20, 2017 by Dirter Promotions. It is the follow-up to Wildwood, released in 2015. The proceeds from this album will go to the care of two eurasian brown bears rescued by the Wildwood Trust.
