Shem Obado Ngoche (born 6 June 1989) is a Kenyan cricketer. He is the brother of three other Kenyan international cricketers, Lameck Onyango, James Ngoche and Nehemiah Odhiambo. [1]
Ngoche was one of three brothers, others being James and Nehemiah, in the Kenyan squad for the World Cup held in Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka from 19 February to 2 April 2011. [1]
Ngoche's claim to fame is his bowling consistency. During the tournament, he batted in 3 innings, was dismissed each time and only faced 3 balls. He did not hit any of them.[ citation needed ]
In January 2018, he was named in Kenya's squad for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament. [2] In September 2018, he was named in Kenya's squad for the 2018 Africa T20 Cup. [3] The following month, he was named in Kenya's squad for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament in Oman. [4] Initially, Collins Obuya was named captain, but he was ruled out of Kenya's squad due to personal commitments, and Ngoche was named captain in his place. [5] [6] He was the leading wicket-taker for Kenya in the tournament, with six dismissals in five matches. [7]
In May 2019, he was named as the captain of Kenya's squad for the Regional Finals of the 2018–19 ICC T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier tournament in Uganda. [8] [9] In September 2019, he was named as the captain of Kenya's squad for the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament in the United Arab Emirates. [10] [11] In November 2019, he was named in Kenya's squad for the Cricket World Cup Challenge League B tournament in Oman, but not as the team's captain. [12]
In October 2021, he was named as the captain of Kenya's squad for the Regional Final of the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier tournament in Rwanda. [13]
Collins Omondi Obuya is a former Kenyan cricketer and captain of the Kenyan cricket team. An allrounder, Obuya bats right-handed and bowls leg spin. He came to prominence in the 2003 Cricket World Cup where he was one of Kenya's major performers as they reached the semi-finals. Obuya has a highest first class score of 103. He has been a prominent member of Kenya cricket team with a career spanning more than two decades, since making his international debut in 2001.
Nehemiah Odhiambo Ngoche is a Kenyan cricketer. He plays both One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals for Kenya. He is the brother of fellow Kenyan cricketers Lameck Onyango, James Ngoche and Shem Ngoche. Their sister Margaret Ngoche is also a Kenyan cricketer and a former captain of the Kenya women's cricket team.
Alex Auma Obanda is a Kenyan cricketer who has played first-class cricket for Kenya Select.
Franco "Frank" Nsubuga is a Ugandan cricketer. A right-handed batsman and off spin bowler, he has played for the Uganda national cricket team since 2001. His matches include seven first-class matches and fifty-two List A matches.

The 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Three was an international cricket tournament that took place in Oman between 9 and 19 November 2018. It formed part of the 2017–19 cycle of the World Cricket League (WCL) which determines the qualification for the 2023 Cricket World Cup. The top two teams were promoted to the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament, and the other four teams will play in the 2019–21 ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League. It was the first international cricket tournament to be held in Oman.

Several of Ngoche's family members have played for the Kenyan team, including her brothers Lameck Onyango, Nehemiah Odhiambo, Shem Ngoche and James Ngoche, and her sister Mary Bele. Prior to playing cricket, Ngoche also played football for two years.
