Shirsh Bihar United Football Club is an Indian professional football club from Muzaffarpur, Bihar. [1] It currently participates in Bihar State Soccer League. [2]

History

Shirsh Bihar United FC was first nominated for I-League 2nd division in 2018, but did not participate in the league because they had not completed one year. [3]

On 20 October 2019, Bihar United played their last league match of District football league Motihari and became champions of A division. [4]

Shirsh Bihar also participated in International tournaments such as Dana Cup in Denmark and Barcelona Summer Cup in Spain.[ citation needed ]

Bihar United women's team won the first edition of Bihar State Women's League and qualified for the Indian Women's League. [5] which was held in Muzaffarpur [6]

Shirsh Bihar was nominated for the 2021-22 I-League 2nd Division. [7]

Stadium

Shirsh Bihar United play their home matches at the Khudiram Bose Stadium in Muzaffarpur.

For women's league matches, SBU uses Moin-ul-Haq Stadium.

Bapudham Motihari Railway Station is a major railway station in Motihari through which 2 lines pass one towards Muzaffarpur and other towards Sitamarhi via Sheohar, it lies in the headquarter city of East Champaran district of Bihar. Its station code is BMKI. The station mainly consists of four platforms and acts as the main station in the city of Motihari, which is being developed under 'The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme' and to celebrate 150 years of Mahatama Gandhi. In February 2022, the Indian Railways had planned to set up a railway station Development Corporation (RSDC) that would work on improving the major railway stations, including Bapudham Motihari, by building and improving passenger amenities.[4] Under the development scheme, major development works are going on Bapudham Motihari. Separate air conditioned waiting lounge, free WiFi facility, IRCTC food court and many facilities are going to be available on Bapudham Motihari at the end of 2024. To enhance the security of this station, a metal detector and baggage handling system will be installed soon.

Chatta Masjid, also spelled as Chhatta Masjid, is a congregational mosque located in Dulhingunj neighborhood of Gaya, Bihar, India, close to Falgu river. Laxmi Narayan Sudhanshu (1906–1974) was an Indian writer, litterateur, poet, independent activist and political leader. He won the 1952 Bihar Legislative Assembly election from an assembly seat in Purnia. He also held the post of Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly from 1962 to 1967. Sudhanshu is known for actively participating in the Quit India Movement in 1942. He was imprisoned in Bhagalpur jail by the Britishers.

The State Government of Bihar had enacted a new act named Bihar Waqf Act 1995 and constituted Bihar State Sunni Waqf Board with a new department on 3 October 2001.

Pawan Kumar Yadav is an Indian politician who has served as a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly since 2020. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he represents the Kahalgaon constituency.

Meri Raftaar Pe Suraj Ki Kiran Naaz Kare is the state prayer of the Indian state of Bihar. The lyrics were written by Mohammad Raza Chishti, an Urdu teacher from Marwan block of Muzaffarpur and composed by Udit Narayan. This song was officially adopted by Government of Bihar on 19 March 2012. This song was officially recognised as the school anthem for government schools in Bihar.

Urs-e-Sher-e-Bihar is a commemorative festival organized on the death anniversary of Mufti Aslam Razvi, a Sufi saint of Qadiriyya Razviyya order at Dargah-e-Sher-e-Bihar, Maksoodpur in Aurai, Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. The Urs is celebrated on 11 Safar, as per Islamic calender. Mufti Aslam Razvi was died in January 2012 and the urs festival is celebrated from December 2012.

Mufti Muhammad Aslam Razvi Quadri also called Sher-e-Bihar was an Indian Sufi saint of Qadri-Razvi order belonging to the Barelvi movement of Sunni Islam. He is buried in the Dargah Jamia Quadria Maksudpur in the Muzaffarpur district of Bihar, and an annual Urs-e-Sher-e-Bihar is celebrated on t1 Safar, the death anniversary of Razvi. He was often called as Zalzaliya, means the one who survived the 1934 Earthquakes. He was a student of Mustafa Raza Khan Qadri, then Grand Mufti of India and elder son of Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi.
